My favourite bird would have to be a Budgie as I have 2 Budgies. I also have a story 4 both Budgies.
The first story is that I brought the budgie from the pet shop at pets paradise and I asked wether it was a female or a male and since it didn't bite very hard it was classed as a male at a very young age, but three weeks later it had the colourings of a female budge but know it has the name of a male of Harry Potter (and it's name is Hagrid).
The second story is that I came home one afternoon after school and my grandmother founf a bird (a budgie) that was in our front yard, and it was so cute my grandmother went out to pick it up and we put it in the cage with the other budgie (Hagrid) and the only thing wrong now it has been about 6 -7 months since they have been in the same cage and Hagrid likes Harry but Harry doesn't want anything to do with Hagrid.

My favourite is a mythical bird that once flew in the Andes Jungle. It had plumage that surpassed anything that even the Bird of Paradise could imagine. But alas it had a terrible habit of placing its sole egg on the top of a tree branch, exposing it to the wind, other predators and of course, gravity...

Okay this sentence is for all the people who answered this question, but didn't know what it was...a bird of paradise is a bird that lives in the rainforest! Look it up on Google, stupid! anyways...back to your question. my fav is the one that is orange and has lots of beautiful tail feathers! i dunno what it is called though...:)
