Very bad luck to get caught with an owl. It is a federal law that you may not even possess as much a feather. Owls are such good predators that only a stupid person would consider one as a pet. They puke up what is called a pellet. The pellet is the bones and hair of what they ate. Mostly what scientists find in the pellets is about 20 skeletons of voles(a kind of mouse) and a songbird or 2.

No. Luck is a thing people made up a very long time ago just to have something to blame for there stupidity. IE( I had a run of bad luck and lost my paycheck on a card game) Truth be told the person never learned to play cards. But bad luck got the blame. If you take care of the owl and show it kindness and love, How can that turn into bad luck. When you do the right thing for a person or a owl. It is the same not bad luck or good luck , Just a blessing for you, And a feeling of love from the owl God don't make Bad luck owls Only good ones

A pet owl? Is that possible? I've never even thought about it. Pet implies that it can be tamed; I don't think a predatory nocturnal bird is going to be happy in a cage. Maybe it can be trained to perch on your arm or something. It is cheaper than a falcon, and there's probably much less legal mumbo jumbo. But some are protected. As far as superstition goes, I don't really know the rules.

It might be more than bad luck since a lot of owls are now protected species.

it is not true..bad luck only happens if you want it to happen. superstition never works, its just something people believe in that makes no sense. if a black cat crossed the road and you don't want to cross the path, your just being silly.
