When they are young you have a hard time doing so. But adults are simpler. Over the bridge of the nostrils the male paraqkeet will be a bluish color. The female's will be clear or yellow. It's really that simple. Hope this helps, good luck.

Look at the cere of the bird (it's the waxy part above the beak). Males have blue ceres, and females have brown or beige ceres. Just note that their ceres usually only turn into a distinguishable color once the bird is sexually mature -- baby budgies are very difficult to sex just by sight.
There are a few exceptions to the rule in certain colors of budgies. For example, albinos, lutinos, and recessive pieds sometimes don't have easily distinguishable cere colors. But for most budgies, go with the rule: blue cere = male, brown cere = female.

look at the cere. it's right on top of the beak. where their nostrils are. males usually have blue or purple. females have more of a light color. like.. yellow, clear, brown, and brownish red. if they are baby keets, you wont realy be able to tell. it'll mostly be white.

Their beaks up by their noses. Boys are blue, girls are pink/tan around the nostrils.
