My bf's work mate's wedding is on 23rd dec, its a formal wedding, men have been asked to wear suits but no dress code has been set for women.
Problem is im not a dress or skirt person but i found a dress i like its a calf length prom style dress, problem is its black, i know that black is not meant to be worn for weddings but i dont wear dresses and i have been searching the shops for months, anyway would it be okay to wear this black dress if i added some colour with my bag and shoes ect?
I dont want to be out of place please help

My family recently got a new younger stepbrother and since he's afraid of the dark and lightning, whenever a bad storm comes along he always goes to my sister's room and she lets him sleep in her bed. The odd thing is he's almost 12 and she's only 3 years older than him. One time, I went to wake them up and found them both sleeping nude. I know my sister is starting to be very interested in guys at her age, and a few times I heard her complimenting my stepbrother that he was very handsome and cute. I don't know if they are just innocent with him simply being scared of being alone on stormy nights, but if not, I don't want things to go a bit too far the next time my sister invites him in her bed. Confused and would like any advice or help. Thanks a lot.

What would you say or do?
If your sitting if front of your computer checking your mailbox when all of a sudden your husband or eight years tell you:
(With all your respect but I've just seen moments ago over the internet the most damn good looking woman ever I've ever seen.


Ok I don't know if maybe I'm over reacting but I felt disrespected and very hurt. I don't know if it was the way that he said or the fact that I thought I was that woman in his eyes.
But girls I don't feel the same ever he told me those words.
Something ain't right anymore between us and I don't know if I'm over reacting but this is how I feel.

Can some of you married women out there give me your opinion. What do you think? How would you react? And what would you do? Thanks.

Ive been irritated for a while since going back to work 8hrs. a day. then our house is not always clean. im painting our kids bedrm then tending to our infant child. all these things makes me stressed & so my bf is getting the raft of it all and now he's gone all the time away from the home cause he says im always irritated and i direct it towards him as if he's the blame for all my stress. but he's not, its just that im not super woman and i need help around the home. he told me today that he will get a hotel to stay out of my way, first of all he's gone all the time, then mentioning that he'll give me some space by getting a hotel!! the first thing im thinking is that he's cheating!! why would he say that? i mean we have a home!! go and sleep on the couch if it's that serious to you, why do you need a hotel?? im very suspicious and im hurt to think that my man is up to something terrible. im just so tired of dealing w/ men in these pointless relationships, what should i do??

At first i could put up with it but now its really starting to upset me an frustrate me. Whenever my boyfriend says demeaning/nasty/downputting things or laughs in my face or down the phone at me when we are arguing....he says stuff like "u aint been out with a black guy before u dont know how we get down...if u cant handle it go back to ur white boys" "kiss my black ***" "thats the way black guys are" etc. Amongst other pathetic things. Now this has only begun in the past month more recently. And please note we have been together for a year an his behaviour with this has become rlly awful! Im 19...hes 23. I would have expected more from a guy that age. An now its causin me to become distressed an hes like "whats the big deal" "why u gettin worked up" etc etc. It feels like im fighting a losing battle thou I really love him, Im not sure what happened to my boyfriend. What can I do to get it into his head that he can't treat/talk to me like this? Or am I being stupid?

My wife always tried to control me. She filed a divorce a year and a half after we got married. I asked her more than a year to go to a counselor together. Finally we went to 2 different counselors but she did not show up the second time because she says: I am smart and educated and I know what is right!
Both counselors told her not to scream and asked me to leave the house as soon as she screams. This way I can never tell her that she is wrong. She screams, swears and just do not listen.
For more than 3 months she said she will leave the house and she is finally leaving. She hurt me a lot. I should be happy now but I do not know why I feel very bad. I tell myself I tried everything and maybe when she is alone she thinks about what she did.

I do not say that I am perfect. No! But at least I listen and I am ready to change my bad habits but she is not!
Tell me what the best is to do in my situation. I think it is good that we will not be together for a while. But I know it is going to be so hard… any suggestions?

I am 35, handsome, business owner … but you know that you can not find happiness there… happiness is where you can love somebody…

because his father is rude. I love him so much. We do not live together..He comes to my place or I will go to his place...and we only see each other on Saturday's because of our work schedule. Well there's the guy at my job that have been hanging out with...We go to happy hours together and we went to lunch last week. We text each other like 200 times a day and sometime meetup somewhere just to talk...well the talking has turned into kissing :(...and I like this guy too but he is 39 and I am 25..he has 2 children who has custody of and he has been married twice...and he is dating 2 other women that work here ( one still works here the other one doesn't) and he has been married twice. My husband completely changed after marriage. We have a 9 month old son that he isn't very involved with. He has left for two weekends this month to go on hunting trips. He expects me to sit at home with nothing to do while he is gone. Over the w/end I had a friend over and we had a couple drinks. He texts me with the simple words "im getting sick of u" and when i try to call him back to ask him what he's talking about he wont answer, or picks up and hangs the phone up on me. I am sick of his immature games, when he got home and I brought up the subject of how wrong what he does is he doesn't want to talk about it. I am basically over this. Help anyone? Should I let it go? This has been ongoing for at least a year.

8 years of complete lack of apreciation, never having time to read a good book, tending to two children with NO help while he hangs out with his friends, and more bad memories than good. He says that he wants to work it out, but I just don't want to. I have always thought of our two boys and do not want to put them through this, but at what point do I deserve to be happy? Which is worse - raise children in a home where both parents are miserable or in two households where parents might have some joy? What am I up against?

I went with my firend to a store and bought an oral toy. I have used it once and didn't liked it really. I paid double the amount which was offering on internet. My husband saw it in my bank statement online then he asked after 2 weeks what did I bought I told him I bought a toy. He got upset he said" if you hide these things from me. You can hide anything." I am in my early pregnancy. He already has doubts because he asked for paternity test. It was a different story. I came from very traditional background and I will never think of cheating on him. He went to work without saying me bye or kissing me. He is mad on me. I don't know what to do. I am not even using it. I didn't told him because I thought he will be offended and which he was. I don't know what to do. Do u have any idea on what to do now. I apologized him but he is mad.

I'v been married to this man for 41/2 years now. We got married then one month later he went to prisonhe just got out in May 07 the hole time we've been married he now lives with another women and i'm fine with it I DO WANT MY DIVORCE from him he had me meet with him yesterday to go talk to a lawer but never did he did talk to his on phone suppose to meet with lawer on Thursday to get it started but i think he is playing games with me. I'm still single and sick of it. Therefore, I thought about going to a public park and get a girlfriend.

There was this around 30-32 yrs old woman (Im25), whom I saw walking alone. She then sad down on the lawn.

After sometime, figuring out that she didn't have any company; I thought about going to her and sat beside and start a conversation. I asked "Would you mind if I sit here?"

Then she smiled at me and said "No Im actually waiting for a friend of mine". Then I said "OK, I'm sorry", then I walked to my car.

I was so ashamed. I didn't even look at anyone else in the park. I hears some guys even laughing at me. Now I feel that's it. I'd never go for a girl. Seriously, no girl likes me. I got plenty of girl FRIENDS you know; just FRIENDS, but when I try to take it to the next level; what ultimately happens is they stop talking with me. I get so frustrated.
I got a kinda dark skin, and I'd love to have a white girl friend. Is is my skin colour? I'm so depressed! pls hlp

Usually you pick a shower theme such as a Kitchen Shower and people bring things for the kitchen. I'm 33 and my finace is 36. It's our 1st marrage but we both have everything we need for the house. What I want is to have a spa shower where people bring pampering things such as hair products, beauty products, perfume, etc...but I also would like the guest to bring me a few of their favorite recipes so I can put together a cookbook from our family and friends. I feel like if I just ask for a recipe, guests won't know what else to bring as a gift and I'll get stuff I don't need. People tell me to be specific and ask for what you what you want...but how do you have a Pampering/Spa/Recipe shower? I don't want to have 2 showers, just one. Any ideas will be appreciated.
