I have a 9 year old daughter with a man that I was never married to. He was 21 and I was 17 when I got pregnant. He moved to the state that I was in 3 days before she was born. When she was 5 months old he moved on and married another woman. For the first 3 years of her life he barely paid child support or visited with her. Since then he has become a good dad, but we have NEVER had a custody or child support agreement. Now I want to move back to my home state. Can I legally move with her? Could he charge me with kidnapping if I take her with me? He has told me he is getting a lawyer. What are the chances that I could lose her in court? I really need to make this move to get my life back on track, but I am scared to death of losing my little girl..... Any help would be great!

I need to understand why someone cheats. I have been cheated on and I am trying to cope with it. I just know that I would rather hurt someone by breaking up w/ them if I got in a situation then to hurt them later down the road worse bc they found out and for them to go thru the pain. Why do you cheat?! Why dont you break it off before something happens...why?! I just need some answers. Im not trying to make anyone out to be bad but I just need some help understanding.

Technically he doesn't "live" here any more. Should I still include his name in our Christmas cards? Even just for this first year?

im planning on moving out my parents house in december. what should i do if my parents get upset and try to make me feel bad? I mean, I cant live with them forever, right?
I feel like the only reason my mother wants me to stay in her house is because i get social security checks from the state because my real dad passed away a few years back, and its like thats all she wants.. am i wrong for telling her that she can keep my checks when i leave? i really dont want them and i know she can use them...
please help with my questions.. i have alot going on, and need some advice.. thanks a lot!

I was looking on the internet and found that my husband had been writing to other females, well I found one note in particular that said the girl looked hot. I asked him a bout it and he said he knows it was stupid and dont know why he did it. Now priar to that he had been saving pictures that he would find on the internet and lie about it. Now yesterday I look in his account and he has a myspace pag that I knew nothing about. When I asked him about that he said he had gotten the account a few weeks ago because he was listening to the radio and he could only log into something specific if he had a myspace page. ANOTHER LIE. Well back to the note I asked him how old the girl looked. He told me about 35. He is 31 and I am 27. I just so happen to find out that she too has a myspace page from searching and on her page it says she is 22. Another lie.
Now he says he just wants to work it out and make everything perfect. We have been married for 8 years. What should I do?

I'm full of questions today . . .
How did alterations go for your dresses? Did you go with a chain or private salon? How much did it add to the base price of your dress?
I went to a private salon last night and had such a wonderful experience! The base price of the dresses I liked are $650-$800 but will require some alterations for me. I'm wondering if I can still come in close to $1,000 for the dress or if that is unrealistic given the base price of the dress. The dress will need:
- to be hemmed
- if i go with a lace-up back it won't need to be taken in (the laces take care of that) but if I opt for a non-lace up back it will need to be taken in
- the shop will have to add plain, short sleeves (i've got a relative willing to do hand-beading if we think the dress needs it)

In summary, she is insecure and I have anger management issues (but I am never angry unless she makes me)...

My wife and I have been married for 6 months. In August, I called the cops on her because she kept slitting her wrists with knives. It was bad. She got arrested for domestic violenece. After this I wanted to divorce her, but I decided to man up and work things out. Things have been going well. We've seeked professional counseling and have been attending church regularly. She started taking prozac. Everything was going well and her insecurities were practically eliminated.

Now she is off prozac because we have better sex when not taking it. Everynow and then my wife gets really insecure and it causes me to go ballistic. I start throwing things and yelling at the top of my lungs, but I never hit her. Her insecurities makes me go nuts. How can I handle situations like this better? What can I do to prevent me from going nuts?

me and my wife have split up,she wouldnt let me see the kids, after a applied for a court order i started seeing them, obviously she went berserk and tried every trick in the book to stop contact cafcass was involved and in there opinion they know pressure is being put on from the mum.well after a few months all of a sudden the kids stopped coming,i was devestated at this news, the pressure they were under was to much, anyway i stopped all court action as this was difficult for the kids,so there are no court orders in force at present, what i need to know can i see my kids at school, will the school or can the school give me permission to see them, the last thing i want is to hide behind a fence to see my kids and not be able to talk with them.also the way my x has handled the kids has been cruel and immorale ,why dosnt the law courts take action on parents who use the kids as a tool to get back at the other parent.i probably wont see my kids for a very very long time .help

This is prompted by a question I just saw on here. Not knocking anyone for doing these, or for not.
I'm curious & I want to ensure my guests have a good time - do out of town guests expect something extra - even if it is just a map or guidebook to local attractions?
How many of you are planning to do these or not?

So I'm 31 weeks pregnant, my husband and I have now been happily married for 3 months and life is going really well. But now all of a sudden it seems like my ex's are trying to take over! I have one ex that keeps writing me on myspace and telling me to stop talking about him and his family which is totally ridiculous! I have so much better things to do besides sit around and talk about a guy that I dated over 2 years ago! Then I have another ex that obviously stays drunk and calls and text me all night long wondering what went wrong in our relationship and why I won't take him back! We broke up over 3 years ago! Move on!!! What should I do? Should I just ignore these losers or should I say something to them? They both know i'm married and expecting but obviously neither of them seem to care! I'm 23 year old wife and soon to be mother and feeling waaay too mature for this crap!

Controversy straight ahead! Skin color is a factor for me. Too dark is too much. And dry hair bothers me. If I can't rumple my hands through it, it's not worth much.

Yes, I understand that personality is an important factor but so are looks. I have nothing against African-Americans at all. I grew up with many as friends.

I don't know; it seems like I'd only be attracted to a black man or woman with more Caucasian features. Straight hair and lighter skin.

I asked the ladies the same question, because a co-worker of mine, said that she EXPECTED her lover to prove his love by buying expensive jewelry for her every Christmas.
I'm totally stunned. What do you think?

I've have let my daughter go way overboard in the disrespect area with my husband largely because I feel guilty that her biological father is not in her life. (never has been) My husband, her stepfather is a good man, he has his flaws, and I have let her get away with many sly comments and at the expense of his feelings many times. I am not proud of this, I want to change, it gets really hard because she is at "that" age and many times I can see her side of things, which I know in the long run my husband is right and has her best interest in hand. Just how sucky of a mom am I being when I don't stand up (at the moment things are happening) Ok, I don't need a barage of finger pointing, just some ideas how to not get caught up in the middle of their fights, and stay objective, and head strong. It gets hard, its my husband and my daughter, I love both and they are driving me crazy with the fighting over everything.

My husband is away on business, and is upset with me for a petty reason. Now he will not call, or answer his phone or text messages. This has gone on for 3 days now. Although this is not the first time he has given me the silent treatment as punishment. I would like to know how others handle this.

I am suppose to get married in less than a year but I am not sure that I should. I think I just need to shack up for the rest of my life with my partner. I don't want to think that I am settling but it seems that way. I often feel limited because I have to consider him. We never think alike and often don't have the same goals.
