I asked the ladies the same question, because a co-worker of mine, said that she EXPECTED her lover to prove his love by buying expensive jewelry for her every Christmas.

I think you know me pretty good by now and I bet you know what I will say and it is true.
I don't have to prove anything to anybody only if this was a who done it story and it isn't.
When I love someone and that person loves me it is all unconditional. I don't need material things and I don't give them as prof of anything. My rule is every day we hug and kiss when we leave each other and when we see each other. We tell each other that we love one another all day long. YOU CAN"T BUY THAT ANYWHERE.
Please don't buy me anything a kind word, support on a tough day, and a shoulder to cry on is all I want from the one I love. Maybe a nice home cooked dinner and only if I get to cook her one the next day. OOP's I all most forgot the sharing part. How can I ask for more? There is nothing I could ever want more than the love I already have that money just can not buy.

this is going back a while, darn it, She really wanted 1 large present and i more smaller present. The large could be most anything "useful" the smaller was a personal more luxury present . I got her some silver And turquoise jewelry for her, she liked western wear, and another time i got her an expensive perfume she loved but couldn't afford. The dominatrix outfit was personal but was a large present.

Well. Times are more realistic,not euphoric.Even in love. What she is doing is the right thing to do. She is showing him how worthy she is,what she deserves for the kind of love she showers on him....its a healthy relationship.Imagine if he didnt give her anything and left her for another?? what is the compensation? Heartbreak?? Depression?

There are no Expectations around the holiday of what the gifts are going to be, As long as we have our love, money means nothing.

what does an expensive gift have to do with love?...O.J. I'm sure bought his woman very expensive things....yet seemed to think it was cool to cut her head off....buying things in exchange for love = hooker
