I'm finally getting over my ex...I've started dating this guy and we have so much in common..(struggles during child hood, life,etc;..and how we've both have overcome it and have made life better for ourselves..and even more..) He is the most anylatical, philosophical..caring person that I know and he gets me..he'll cook for me and drive 30 mins to my apartment..regardless of the time..he gives the best foot massage when I'm tired and've been on my feet all day (I'm a model)..i'm sure he knows that I have feelings for him...sometimes when I travel and come back I'll tell him that I missed him but in a very sarcastic way (I'm trying to protect myself, my heart)..he'll respond by giving me the biggest bear hug or a gentle kiss..sometimes he says it back.sometimes he doesn't..we joke around a lot..His mom lives out of the country and she recently came to visit;he wanted me to meet her, but I was in NY doing a show and when i got the message, it was too late..he won't say..he likes me.what

My ex and i got married with i was 23. He was military, we got married and didnt tell anyone. I'd been with him for 2 and a half years. We figrued we'd get married, i could live with him, he'd get more money, i'd get benefits, we'd tell people we were engaged, then have a wedding later. DUMB! It lasted a year, then he called me on the phone from another state and told me he didnt want to be with me anymore. My world shattered. I didnt have a plan B. i thought he was it and i never thought i'd be living life without him. It has been hard for me to find the good in any of this. It's good, because he obviously didnt love me, now i'm free from that...but my relationships have suffered greatly in the past 4 years. Ive anesthesized myself with alcohol, I've been promiscuous, the men i like are losers. I have a good job and i'm in grad school, but my relationships have been awful, i've lost friends. I have gone to therapy, what should i do? I'm 29 now....

i split with my ex last febuary, i was very hurt at the time as she kicked me out with no were to go. it has taken many months but i have re built my life to a better standard than it was whilst in the relationship. during the split i did and said some appauling things to hurt her as i was hurting and wanted her to feel the same. but now i feel ashamed about this. my ex had a child from previous relationship that i help raise as my own for 4 yrs so i felt i was losing two people that i loved. its her daughters birthday on saturday should i send a card or leave well alone. i was thinking to send the card to my ex with a letter explaining why i did these things to hurt her and telling her there will allways be in my thoughts? that way she can decide weather to give the card or not, what do you think?

hi..i am a 27 year old stay at home mom with three kids ages 3, 2, and 1. i cannot find a way to make any friends! i have always had problems making friends with girls, and i am not sure why....maybe because i am not good at small talk, and i am not into gossip. even when i feel like i am starting to make a friend....they only want my friendship when i am helping them out with something...then they just stop talking to me.....i am really feeling lonely and want to make some good friends.....any advice would be lovely! thanks!

I was with my ex-gf for 4 years from 2002-06. just didnt marry her, just got SCARED about it. I did tell her we would marry a few times, then always told her to wait. I know I messed up BIG TIME. I am stupid. I never was with another girl, just thought things were great as they were and I knew in time I would marry this girl. Well, all of the sudden she told me in December that she was tired of waiting and that she didnt want to "waste her life waiting for me and false promises." She reconnected with some friend she had and they got maried 4 months later in April. I was and am still DEVASTATED. I love this girl deeply, I cant believe she did this!! I told her to marry me instead when I found out about it, but she said it was "too late." Since this time, she has called/email a bunch of times telling me she prefers to be with me and made a mistake. But, she cant see herself getting divorced bcs. she would hurt him and herself. Anything I can do? Will she be happy? I love her too much.

Hi, I met an old childhood friend on facebook and we met up to catch up. He has my number, but when he asked to meet up for a second date, he sent me an email using facebook. I don't understand why he didn't call me instead? He is not the shy type. Does this somehow imply that he doesn't want to have a conversation and get to know me over the phone but just interested in sex?

I have been dating a guy for 4 months, and things were going great, he was affectionate, caring, we talked every day for hours, and we were almost like best friends....during this time his car was not working, and he felt kinda down about it....but he finally got his car fixed this weekend, and he is happy about that, but now his whole attitude has changed ! he's acting cocky, arrogant, rude, we got into an argument, and he hung up on me ! WTF ? why oh why is he acting like this ? Does this seem strange ?? (Oh just to let you know, I did NOT drive him around at all, my car was in the shop too, he used a relative's car)

I have been married almost a year and been with my husband for 3 years now i love him dearly but i have never forgot about my ex husband me and my ex husband have a 6 year old son and he loves his dad very much but hasnt been around his dad very much in the past year and a half my new husband loves my son but he is not his dad and i dont think that he can fully treat him like his son recienty my sons father has came baack in to his life and wants to spend more time with him and he has also informed me that he wants to try us again me and him were very young when we got together and i know today if we met we could make it but a lot has heppened between us in the past years but i still love him and probly always will but i dont know what to do i love my husband but my son misses his father and desirves to have his dad. any and all advise welcome. thanks

I have this cousin and she's twenty years old. She always thinks she's better than me in everything and actually it's the opposite ,I myself know how to deal with things better than her in thinking wise.First of all she's not good in studying she's left back 3 years in college and she never hangs out with girls.She always hangs out with our boy cousins . She always answers her mother and father back,what's wierd is that she never cries when someone shouts at her.She makes them cry.And for the way she dresses,she always wears pants and walks without a personal bag.Tat's one of the reasons that noone came to ask for her marriage.I just want her to get married fast so I don't see her much.There is this kind of serious hatred between us.Am I gonna last my whole life like this??

and we have never lived together- We found a house that's for sale and it's 2000 sq. ft. They were asking $219,000 but it's been on the market for 7 months. Its had renovations in 2002, It's a very nice home. They are not asking $159,000. Is it too soon to buy a house when we wont be married until next Oct.?

I am 25 and my fiance is 25, I have a house and my sister(22) lives in the basement but is never home until very late at night. My fiance lives in an apartment with her sister(23) and is home at 8pm every night. Our places are lease than 15 minutes away from each other. my boyfreind and i have been together for the better part of 4 years. the only thing that is bad in our relationship is his mother. she is a sweet person and all but when his dad left like 9 years ago, she has never gotten over it. i don't think ihave ever been over to her house with out her talking about her ex husband. ok but that's not the problem the problem is that she controls him, he is 23 and she still does all of his accounting, check book ect... it's fustrating b/c i know she is doing it as a conrtol issue. but he would believe me, i have been trying to find articals on the internet to help me show him that it;s not normal for her to treat him like she does, she is always sitting on his lap, staying up late to make him dinner ( he works 2nd) and the bottom line is its not healthy for eathier of them. please help. any advice won't be great i am feeling a little overwelmed.

People, we don't have here sorceres that rely on horoscopes and birthdays to make life changing decisions. Please, ask on Y! India where people can relate and understand your superstitions.

I'll try to make this as brief as possible, but i really want your opinions. Been together 6.5 years, I'm 25 he's going to be 29 next month. We've had our ups and downs like every couple, but we've stuck together and love each other very much. I have wanted to get engaged for a while, but he hasn't been ready so I let it go. We are all busy and have busy lives but I always make an effort to keep in touch with family and friends either through letters. phone calls and/or e-mails. One of the relatives irritates and annoys me because I will call her and she never picks up her phoneand she is not the best at returning phone calls yet she always has time one way or another for her best friend that lives down the road from her. Yes she has two kids and works full time and I understand that but there are times she has treated family more of an option and not as a priority and many a times her friend (s) came first before family. My otheryounger relative has 3 kids separated from her husband cares for her family manages a home and she always calls me and makes time for me. I just think my relative is in her "own little world".

My question is do I have the right to be annoyed at her or should I just let it go? How can I be more compassionate?

This relative is my older sister.

I'm hoping to find some people to commiserate with here. I'm going to *have* to include my sister in the wedding party (I'm really hoping she'll back out, but with my luck she won't). I really don't want her and its just going to cause more problems than its worth to exclude her.
Anybody else get stuck including a sibling they're really not close to in their wedding party?
