We are all busy and have busy lives but I always make an effort to keep in touch with family and friends either through letters. phone calls and/or e-mails. One of the relatives irritates and annoys me because I will call her and she never picks up her phoneand she is not the best at returning phone calls yet she always has time one way or another for her best friend that lives down the road from her. Yes she has two kids and works full time and I understand that but there are times she has treated family more of an option and not as a priority and many a times her friend (s) came first before family. My otheryounger relative has 3 kids separated from her husband cares for her family manages a home and she always calls me and makes time for me. I just think my relative is in her "own little world".
My question is do I have the right to be annoyed at her or should I just let it go? How can I be more compassionate?
This relative is my older sister.

I would just let it go I guess when she wants to talk to you she will call.My family and friends understand that I'm not a phone person and when I call they tease me. No big deal

If your older sister isn't making time for you, it's her issue. Why allow her to control your emotions? Just move on, and realize she may not want to talk or doesn't feel you have things in common?
The reason(s) she does not communicate aren't important... what is important is taking care of YOU. You have other friends and relatives who do keep in touch, so be happy for that.
Why would you want to be more compassionate? Your sister obviously is not.
