If you apologized you have done everything you can do. If the person is going to hold a grudge, there is not anything you can do to change it.

It depends. If you have made a friend upset because you told them the truth about how you felt, then you need to talk it out with them. If you made the friend upset because of something you did, then to make peace with them, just apologize, that way you don't have to carry it over your head.
