I'm realy getting sick of my girlfriends mother, she is a nice enought person but carn't keep her nose out and meddeling in our relationship.

For example my gf has been on a diet (in which I support her in either way) she has been doing well and I have been doing my bit to encourage her and see that I dont eat junk food around her or discourage her by suggesting a take-a-way.

The MIL doesnt see why see should want to loose weight (as she is overweight) and tries to discourage her and sais that she shouldnt listen to me!
Also I now am getting tired of visiting them, every time we do, she tell my gf not to be bossed around by me, and is very deluded / overprotective.

Before anyone asks or jumps to conclusions, I am not like how my MIL see's me, she is very protective of her kids and its causing problems in thier relationships aswell.

I have talked to my gf and the MIL but nothing changes, evertime we see her family she belives what they say and it causes a fight.

She cheated and all she could say was " you treated me good" and that was the end of the conversation. She was my best friend...every breath I took. I still love her with all my heart to the point I dream of her with her arms around me and telling me that she loves me. I've tried everything I can to get past this and nothing helps. It's been 4 years. I won't even have a relationship with another because the trust issue is right on the top of the list. Can't seem to even give a lady a chance. I think about her every day. Sure do wish someone could help me get past this. I ended up in the hospital for a while after it ended because I completely feel apart physically. For 6 months I slept on the sofa because trying to sleep in a bed just reminded me that I was alone and she wasn't there.

My husband and I have been married for almost a year. And he has a past of cheating. Things seem to be going good for the past year, and now all of a sudden its been almost 2 months since we have had sex, and now hes been going to work 2 hours earlier. Which he just started a new position and he says he just needs to get ahead so they dont think hes slacking. There is some girl at work that I think he has been getting close too. Hes always talking about her. If he cheated before but seemed to be doing better, should i give him the benefit of the doubt before confronting him and causing no needed drama in our life. I had our first child last Dec. and thats when things seemed to get better. Now I am pregnant with our second child which is due in Jan. Am I just getting overly worried....(oh by the way he is always making comments like when i get my new bike Im taking melissa on a ride) which is the girl that i think hes getting close to. Please honest opinions and dont be stupid!

We are planning an attending a wedding in two weeks of a friend at work who is planning on renewing his vows with his wife. He called me over the weekend at home and asked if it would be OK if our daughter who is 21, could be sat away from us at another table because the tables only take 8 people each and that she would be an odd number.
He is REALLY cheap and I don't think he is very into this wedding and is doing it for his wife. I think he is trying to squeeze as many people as possible into these table so he doesn't have to rent an extra one.
Anyway, I felt a little hurt and felt this was really tacky to call and ask us to have our daughter sit away from us. Now we are thinking of not going. We don't see him outside of work anyway and I do think we were invited because we asked them to ours in Scotland last year (they did not attend).
Would you have been offended?

I'm a college student and my sister (in her 30s) has 3 kids, making me an uncle. My family expects me to help raise her kids almost. My sister married into a family that is directly opposite to my immediate family. I am usually a quiet, mature, intelligent person, while my sister and the rest of her new family is just the opposite. The parents dont live up to their promises and dont let their children hang out with other kids their age for w/e reason, so I'm stuck being their best friends. Due to limited words to type here, parents are basically horrible. These nephews are 5,7,9 yrs old. I'm 19 yrs old and I commute to college so I'm living at home to save money and I dont have a choice really. If I ever give constructive criticism of any kind, the parents reject it and doubt that they could ever possibly be bad parents or make 1 wrong move. When they happens, my sister blames it on my mom b/c im living at home. My sister doesnt think I can speak for my own part. Need more room to type

I'm 16 almost 17. Due to circumstances, I'm in my second year of college. I've been around women who have always been older than me. I find older women more attractive, smarter, more sophisticated and open to discussion then women my age. There is one girl who I really like that is 19 going on 20. We talk all the time, she smiles, mimics my positions and maintains eye contact. Is the 3 year age difference a big deal? How do I find out if she likes me? Finally, how would I go about dating her?

It will be 2 years and i have no desire to be intimate at all with my wife (or anyone else for that matter.) have we been on a rough path and her treatment of me has been unfair at best. And recently when we have done it it feels meaningless and worthless to me to the point where i barely enjoy the act itself and try to have to force myself to do it. Is she physically attractive yes but psychlogically and emotionally am I attracted to her NO. HELP PLEASEE!!!!!

We have been going strong for almost four years now, and have two beautiful children together. The chidren are young, two year old and seven month old. We live away from most family, only his Father is close. I truly believe he was made for this path in life, going and getting Military training would complete his character. I, however selfish this may sound, was not. I feel that the Military life will put a great burden on us as a whole. The lengthy time away will definitely be hard. Not because my temptations will be so great to cheat, but because I will feel like a Single Parent with responsibilities very high and overwhelming. Of course I can adjust and strive to make it work, but it will be the greatest loss if something were to happen to him. I have lost my Mother, a wonderful soul.... I could not picture this world without him in it. Please give light. The Marine Recruiter will be here in a matter of days to see what we have decided to do.

i personally belive that "if a women take divorce from her husband her whole life is so miserable".men always want to exploit women in different manners. the society also won't care them and won't give respect for them.a womin is alwys safe in her husband presence only.
i think even women also never give respect to them.
wht i want to tell u is never take divorce from u r partner.live happily with u r partner.
if her husband is a rog then only she will take divorce from her husband.

I'm just wondering if there are any other people out there who have been in relationships, but have never fallen in "Love". Me personally, I think it's because I’m not able to get close enough to people to allow it to happen. I just wanted to know everyone else’s opinion’s on the subject. Insight, stories doesn't matter.

Most forced marriage of the forced arranged, shotgun weeding and general forcedsort actually work very well. Many people learn to love each other later on or don't bother and have a good life together any way.

So why is it illegal in some places? I am aware that sometimes the person may be in love with someone else or hates the person that they are being forced into marrying, but these faults can be worked on after marriage or they might decide to have a open marriage later on.
The only bad thing about forced marriage is human trafficking and the domestic abuse found in these marriage. Other than that what are the negative aspects of such marriage that i don't know about

When is it too much? I used to watch a lot of porn, but then I quit because I wanted to, now it still pops into my head and I interpret innocent things as sexual. Is there something wrong with me? Will I always be like this? I'm a 20 year old guy. Is this normal?

I am in my late 30's and married for almost four years. A few nights ago, my husband let me know he wanted a little action before turning in for the evening. No problem there. After I got out of the shower, I went to bed. My husband followed with his own shower. But he didn't come straight to bed. He showed up a short time later already sporting an erection. He had gone to computer to look at porn before he came to bed to me. He tried to hide his erection as he got in bed. I don't care if my husband looks at porn, but he made me feel like I couldn't get the job done and I was just a fill in for whomever he was looking at on the computer. Did he think I wouldn't notice? Do I have a valid right to feel put out over this? If this man is going to have to look at porn to get excited enough to have sex with me, I don't want him. By the way, I am in excellant shape, no kids, college educated...it is not a case of me letting myself go. Should I be concerned or just get over it?
