I have a friend who is in competition with me, I announced that I am marrying my partner next year, a week later she is
getting wed to a man she hardly knows, they had a one
night stand 2 years ago live in different countries and are now getting wed.

They were not in a relationship when she got pregnant, she took the morning after pill but it failed and she had the son.

THis man has only seen his 20 month old son once, she took the son, they were not in a relationship before the journey, now all of a sudden they are getting wed!

She is questioning the strength of my relationship, I have been with my fella for 4 years, lived with him for 3!!

She plans to live with her man for 3 months before she marries him!

I told her that I think she is making a big mistake and I told her that she is dating this guy she is not in a relationship with him!

I am planning my wedding and she is making comments and saying her rings and dress is better etc!

what should i do?

This question is kinda directed for men to answer. I have seen tons of pictures of men on several dating sites and rarely do men ever smile in their pictures. They describe themselves as cute, adorable, fun, yet they look angry or serious in their photos or simply straight faced with little emotion at all. Any reason for this guys?

i met this girl at school a few months ago...we chat a lot and stuff (she starts the convo 99% of the time) ...she calls me...she visits me at work...

I live in the UK, and my stepsister is getting married in France next week and most of my family from NZ will be attending. My Dad forwarded the invite on to me assuming that I would be invited. A few days later my Dad told me my stepsister had said that I wasn't invited because I got too drunk when went on a family holiday 2 years ago (they think I wouldn't be able to control myself for one afternoon-I'm 26yo btw) Anyway, I had bought the ticket and when they found this out, they made my Dad call me and uninvite me due to this holiday "incident". He felt terrible and while I can appreciate that I wasn't invited in the first place, I think it was a bit extreme to go to the effort to uninvite me when we've had no problems before. Today, I've received a group email inviting us all to their NZ wedding ceremony. I don't want to go, but feel I should to keep the peace? Should I go?(I'll be in NZ at the time anyway) I feel I should add that we never have any family dramas-this is the first.

Seriously... I saw those boys stare at me a lot and sometimes some would compliment me... but they never ask me out but does weird things like honk the car.... whistle... pointing and stuff. What is wrong with you boys? Can't go appropriately to a girl and say hi... nice weather? Instead of doing those things? Where can I get a decent boyfriend? And how?

Ok i met this guy my homegirl told me he is a player to be carefull idk if its true or not but im really starting to like him but he started to get involve in that music bussiness which means hes got all kinds of females on his jock. My mother keeps putting down my son, but ever so subtly.
She doesn't even know my son because the only time we ever go to visit her is on Christmas and 4th of July. Yet during these times, she treats him like a loser. She even started talking about him and then asked me if I ever saw the movie "A Brilliant Mind" suggesting that she thought he was crazy.

My son is really a great kid. He has lots of friends, has a great personality, the only problem is that he struggles with completing school assignments.

I feel that my mother is trying to turn other family members away from my son by belittling him, but without being so obviouse.

Should I keep her away from our lives? I keep trying to stick up for my son, but she just wont quit.

I have a friend who ive been friends with for over 2 years. We dated for about a month and i ended it because of it not working out. He was the one who mentioned that we should continue being friends and that he would have NO problem JUST being my friend. So of course i said ok. We've been hanging out all the time like we used to. he came over today on his own, and he decided he wanted to go hang out with some other friends..he invited me to go along. but he wanted to take seperate cars (which was weird since he haaaaaaates driving and im always the one that does drive) so we took seperate cars..as we were driving he was going TOO fast like 100 mph on a 45mph road. I didnt try keeping up since i knew where i was going and figured we would just meet up. I get to the destination and hes not there...i try calling SEVERAL times, no answer. I turn around to leave and then i see his car. i turn around to follow him and he starts taking this detour driving

i just ended my marriage of ten years, two years ago. i have five children with my ex-husband. i married at nineteen years old. unable to finish my studies in an exclusive college for girls and gave up my career as a varsity team captain. he never went to college. i was blinded by the love and attention i never had with anyone--family, friends; blinded by the dream of having a complete family that i never had. never knew the feeling or lived the life of a young woman because i was a mother already at a young age. never had the chance to have another boyfriend. he was my first boyfriend. i was attractive then. people close to me would always say that. i'm double my size then and it's almost impossible to bring myself back to how i looked before.

now that i'm out of that relationship, i begin to realize what i have lost. it's flattering to hear when my collegues would say that i look seven years younger my age, considering that i look like a humongous beach ball. but i'm lonely inside

As soon as I finished tertiary at 19, and got a job my mom put all the responsibilities on to me. She lost her job, and was getting a widows fund so I didnt mind helping until she could sort herself out. Needless to say she just didnt do anything about her situation, and I ended up paying for my middle brother's transport cost, my baby brothers day care, the bond, groceries, my brothers clothes and whatever else they needed that I could afford. Last year she fell ill and my situation just worstened. She's much better now, and I've reached a point of being fed up! She makes unnecessary demands and when I cant assist cause I dont have the money, she throws a tantrum and calls me a spoilt brat, and tells me I shouldnt bother doing things for them If i'm gonna complain.

I've reached a point where I want to just pack my bags and leave because I refuse to be treated like this. She makes it out like I owe her or something. I'll be 22 on 21Oct and expecting a baby of my own. Is this fair?

Today is my 30th birthday and though the day before me and my friend and her bf went to a casino and lost and was not fun . Today is my birthday . My one friends and girlfriend want to go out to the bar and get drunk and the other want to run to every casino possible and gamble. By the sounds of it I am going to end up going bowling on my birthday , using a free 2 hr bowling coupon i had from awhile ago.
This is not suppose to be like this , I had big plans !! fun !! This is my one and only time i turning 30 and is a milstone and it seems like no family or friends are giving a party or doing anything . I am bummed out totally and it is almost 4am on my birthday . What should I do ?? I want to have fun and it I am upset cause it going to end up being boring , dull and quiet . I basiclly broke and the moment and my friends are not far behind ... as far as i know . Any ideas that will make my birthday rock ?
