Some people just want to be popular and everyone knows the cheerleaders so that's what they do. They see it as conform and be like them so you won't have to try and be an individual. I'd rather be hated for who I am than be loved for being a fake.

Who knows? If you really want to be popular, be friendly, sensitive, kind, and positive. Think about the truly popular people. They have all those characteristics, cheerleaders or not.

In our morality class, our teacher told us that teens act differently in their adolescent years because they are searching for identity and they are pressured by other people/peers. Like, if someone tells you that when you're not with " the popular people ", you're a loser, then you'd find a way to be with those people so people wouldn't view you as a loser. .. They also become conscious of their status.
