recently my privacy was invaded, my private thoughts were violated and i feel aweful about it.

if someone close to you wants to read your private journals should you let them?

or should you tell them no i'm sorry but those are my private thoughts?

do they have the right to get angry with you if you refuse to let them read your journals?

what if they take them and read them anyway then what?

ok first of all it is your journal. so it up to YOU to decied if you want anyone to read it.
the point in having a private journal is for it to be PRIVATE. dont be upset with yourself if someone else is upset because it is yours and they have no right to read it!.
explain to them in a nice way that it is yours and you like to keep it to yourself because that helps you!
also keep it in a secret place where no-one will find it. that keeps that problem out of the way.
good luck hun!

If you have a private journal; when you aren't writing in it, put it somewhere no one can find it. Some people love to read things that they think is private. It's really none of their business. Don't even tell them where you hide it. Even though there may be nothing that you mind them knowing; people have a way of turning on you sometimes and they throw things back at you that they know about you. Therefore, it's better not to tell everything.
You don't leave a journal around like a magazine. They are your thoughts for no one to read but you.

They are your journals and private if you want them to be. My husband has years of journals and has not told me I can read them. I would not dream of violating his trust and reading them anyway. If he wants me to read them, he will put them in my hands. I am not angry, they are his private thoughts and feelings. I would be angry if someone read mine without my permission. So, if you want them to be private, great. If someone read them anyway, they are WAY wrong and should be ashamed of themselves. I don't feel they have a right to be mad at your for not sharing the journal. It is your privacy, your right! Take care ; )

There are too many nosey parkers about, so putting your private thoughts in a book is always going to be a bit risky.

Why don't you set up a secure password protected folder in the computer. That would be secure. You might be able to do this with a memory stick, so even if it was stolen, it couldn't be opened.

You could then type your journal into the folder then shred the hard copy.

Its up to you. Do you trust them enough? Would you have felt violated if you were to let that person read them willingly?

They should respect your privacy and not take offense.
Your thoughts, journals, diaries are like your dreams. Everyone keeps something to themselves.

Nobody has a right to do that. You do not have to let anyone read your journals. They should not even ask. The nerve of them to get mad. You don't say who this is. You cannot trust them and they don't care how you feel. I would not associate with them.

Everyone deserves a private life with no-one snooping in it. Not even your closest friend. If they get mad because you won't let them read it then that's their problem. It is not wrong to keep your private thoughts and experiences to yourself.

Though you're so much close to a person still they have no rights to mingle with your privacy.

1st question = no!
2nd question = Yes tell them
3rd question = they don't have the rights.
4th question = keep them locked in a safe place.
