This question is kinda directed for men to answer. I have seen tons of pictures of men on several dating sites and rarely do men ever smile in their pictures. They describe themselves as cute, adorable, fun, yet they look angry or serious in their photos or simply straight faced with little emotion at all. Any reason for this guys?

Bad photography. Guys might tend to smile less in front of the camera, but anybody with even modest photography skills should be able to get them to smile naturally. The guy might choose a serious look to post but thems the facts. It's pretty hard to get a good picture from a bad photograph.

Just to look tough and macho. For them to describe themselves as cute , adorable fun , then looking angry and macho like on photos it is like trying to tell girls that
I am all man on the outside and your sweet sweet heart on the inside... I think it's difficult to tell anyways.
I noticed there are guys who photograph their muscle body . That's just overdoing it.
I would never try to describe myself or put an personal ad with cute , adorable fun....because 2 people have to get to know each other before it is true.
any relationship is proven fun if both people get along. sometimes mixing the wrong people together,,...the self described "cute adorable" turns to pig, ********, and asshole.

tooth must be the substantial reason i think of. different than that, somebody who does not like the way they provide the effect of being while they smile - perchance their eyes bypass all crinkly and disappear or they get a double chin or something. Or as an prolonged shot - somebody who does not like the persons he's around, yet i think of it rather is extra possibly to be some style of element approximately himself that he's not happy with.

I think most men are living in this cruel, stressful and competitive society. Men are having more solem attitude and behaviour. If man does smile, you should beware of him, either a crook or bad womanizer ( take woman's money or advantages afterward). Basically, men are unhappy creature in this world. They need to support a family, parents, and girl friend. Men are probably more honest in certain way to express his real personal traits.

It's a poker face. We're emotionally insecure. Smiling could be regarded as passive or betray emotion we don't want to admit to.

Generally men believe that they are tough
- men are straight forward - frank
- generally serious
- seldom talk
- do the most action
- less in outdoor picnic . . . except eating and drinking
- less in cultural activities
- these are the sequence why men don't smile in their photos
