My father won't be attending , his new wife won't let him attend.

The wedding is October 9th, I know it's short amount of time to ask, but my new stepmom was going to help me but again she won't allow my father to attend.

Only ones to be there are the reverend, the groom, his 9 tear old son and myself. It was to be a small wedding anyway.

I have to agree it's horrible that your father can't attend his own daughter's wedding because of his new wife. But to answer your question.

If someone else is giving you away (brother, mother, cousin, uncle etc.). They can lift the veil for you.

If you are walking in by yourself, you can keep your veil on during the ceremony until you are pronounced husband and wife. At that point your new husband can lift your veil as well as give you the congratulatory kiss.

You can also choose to have your fiance lift the veil for you after you've walked down the aisle before you start saying your vows.

Sorry about your dad. I used to have a 'wicked step-mother' too.
I think it would be a really sweet and touching moment for your hubby-to-be to lift your veil when you reach him after walking down the isle. That would have brought tears to my husband's eyes. I didn't wear mine over my face, though. Now, I'm wishing I had.
Best of luck and congratulations!

I think you will enjoy reading all about it. It is the groom that lifts the veil. This is a really cool article on it all.

Oh congrats and hope all goes well at your wedding.

Have the groom lift it, when you get up to the alter, or right before he's supposed to kiss you.

If your dad won't be attending, which sucks, then your husband once he says you may now kiss the bride. He can lift it then.

First off, that totally sucks that your Dad won't be there because of someone else!
To answer your question, I'd say your maid of honor can do the veil lifting.

It sucks about your dad, but have the groom do it right before the kiss!

Your groom can do it. Right when you get to the altar, before the ceremony starts.

Who ever walks you down the aisle should be the one who lifts your veil.
