I attend a university where the majority population is Asian and White in Northern California. I'm attracted to both groups as well as others. However, after 4+ years of living here, I've found it rather difficult to date almost anyone here near the Sacramento area. I'm very open-minded. Sometimes I approach a guy I'm interested in and vice-versa. I don't expect the guy to pay on the first date, not because I don't think he's capable, but I know that money doesn't grow on trees. I try to be fair about those things. We all have bills to pay. I'm a very social person, I go out to concerts, to dance clubs, and as a student, I socialize with my classmates and still don't have much luck. In fact it's even worse when the environment is school-related; students here seem very reserved in their dating preferences, which usually exclude women like me. However, I encounter more opportunities in the Bay Area than I do near Sacramento. As an American-born Nigerian woman, what would y'all suggest?

my cellphone was cut off yesterday for the first time in four years. i decided not to pay my cellphone bill for this month because i have other bills that i would like to catch up on and my cellphone is not important right now for the time being. my mother calls me early yesterday morning t 7am like she always dose to tell me what to do. my mother naggs the hell out of me everytime i go out or be with my husband on weekends because we were recently seperated and we are working on our marraige. we are getting our new place in novermber so iam moving in in two months. whenever i spend time with my husand my mothers calls my cellphone 24/7 with petty mess and it is always about her and her problems. iam trying to have a good time with my husband and all she dose is call my cellphone and keep up mess. when found out that my cellphone was off she got hot mad because i did not want the phone back on for this month.

We used to be very close together. we share almost everything. until we start to hold hands... things get a bit messy. i think i hurt her feelings by saying that i have always regarded her as my elder sister. She left me not long after, about 2 months later, but not without insulting me, abusing my feelings, telling me that she has gotten herself another man and ask me to pest off. i was peeved definitely. i gave in a 100 %, care and help her in every way. in the end, that's the manner she left me. ya.. and she ask her parents to lie to me that she has flown off to Europe. and ya.. i m an idiot i actually believed. i m devastated.Till one fateful day, i find out the truth and so i went straight to her house to find her. i wanted so much to say i m sorry about perhaps hurting her feelings and getting an answer from her.
in the end it turns out very wrong, now she has lodged a legal complaint on me accusing me of harassment. looking her up will be so wrong. what should i do?

You see He gets angry real easy and needs a way to vent his anger or stress or whatever it is. He dosen't hurt me he just breaks things. His family dosen't really pay attention to him so he gets all emotional attention and love from me. Its like his family dosen't care about him. It makes me sad. continuing the last question.. Just 2 day before the marriage she told me that she has a boyfriend and she doesnt want to marry..Than i refused for the marriage but all the preparation was done for marriage .so from her side every body started crying even she also started crying to marry(may be family pressure ). I did afterwards warning her forget his boyfriend after marriage..she agreed..after 1 month I took her to meet her boyfriend last time..but there she refused to come along with me..

ok here is the situation.girlfriend and i moved at the end of july. so we got a bill from the electrc and gas co of $730. that 700 is due from the old address. the bill was in her name and we just transferred services. now i was afraid that our service would get shut off. so i requested new service in my name starting the 27th., they didnt ask anything about a previous tenant at all. (they cant deny anyone service is what they told me). now im afraid that my bill is gonna be sky high. so i was thinking that maybe my g/f should ask them about payment arrangements. because she gets assistance and i don't. however, im wondering if they are gonna ask her who is living in the house(which i am) and since we have a totally diff income. she wont get that discount. they said for me to get new service i have to pay a 380 deposit because i wanted new service i didnt request to just transer in my name. should i just keep the service in my name or cancel mines and leave it in her name.

my sisters son is married. he and his wife had a little girl. they sent picturs to everyone but his mother. why not his mother something about the past??they did not send picture to her .my daughter sent a picture to his mother on her cell phone so she would have a picture. this was in jan.. well his brothers wife was using her mothers phone and found the picture. now he calls me and says he can not trust her and dont want my daughter around the baby. well my mother has sent pictures to her as well but he dont know this. my question is what i should do??? his wife has something to do with this problem.shoould i tell him to let it go, grow up or what... thanks for your time

Just a matter of interest, I'm fine the way I am (single). I'm 24 and never had a lass, but good.

I'm easygoing, and I mean really easygoing, you know, not going out, everything 's fine with me, I'm relaxed or lying in my couch if I don't work or surf the net, I watch tv, dvd's, read books or comics. You can say, I think, I am a slacker. Is that good or bad in a relationship, being easygoing ?

I am in the process of planning the guest list for my wedding. My fiance and I have differing opinions on who should be invited and who should not. He believes that if someone is 'family' that they should automatically get an invite. I disagree. He has a 3rd. cousin that neither one of us is fond of whatsoever. We and this individual have clashed before. I believe that if neither one of us would enjoy their presence at our wedding, why should we invite them?

He on the other hand sticks to his belief that "They are family, so they must get invited." What do you think?

my husband and i get caught up in the daily grind from time to time, but when we do, as soon as one of us realizes it, we take time out, get a sitter and have a night out together!

it helps us reconnect and forget about all the other stuff that consume our minds on a daily basis.

so, do you think that this is something people forget to do??
do you think it could help most of the people on here with marriage problems??
does dating your spouse/partner help keep your relationship alive and thriving??

If it's an answer to sher going somewhere of whether she can cook something different for supper, she turns it into an arguement. Then she runs to my parents and tells them how mean I was to her. They of course believe her and tell her any time she wants to come there, she can.

So I was thinking this question over and yeah.
We've been dating for three weeks. You'tre probably thinking " well, youre not sure you like him, why date him?" I would answer that if I could. Everytime I'm round him, I'm happy and all but yesterday I wans't so sure about us. We only see each other on the weekends but go otu and stuff, and talk through the week. It's hard, ya' know? My husband went through a mental breakdown. He has since been diagnosed as Psychosis. I have been trying to be there for him. He is a very nice person and willing to do anything for me. He just admitted to me that he cheated with 3 different women. He also admitted to smoking marijuanna. He also admitted to lying to me about drug possession arrest that I had to bail him out with our 4 year old daughter's college savings. He never told me about his mental illness. I heard from a aunt of his that he took medications years ago. I confronted him about it and he denied it. I married him and trusted him and now I am being hit left and right with all these things he feels he should let me know now. I don't guilty because I don't want to be with him because of all the lies and betrayal. I feel guilty because I don't want to be with him and he is mentally ill. I am so unhappy. Do you think I am wrong for making him go back to his mother's house?

I hear nothing from him for 2 days straight. I try calling him on Friday because we were supposed to go home Saturday and I wasnt even sure that I had a way home. I get a text message late friday night saying I will call you soon and then I wait and get nothing until after i went to sleep (I missed the call). I had my parents drive down to get me and the boys. I text him that I was riding back home with my parents. He text me "thanks for not letting me see my boys before you took them out of the state- very classy move." To which I replied "I am going to our home with our boys, come home to them." I have called, left messages, e-mailed, and text trying to see if he is ok and I finally received a text message 6 days later saying that he was ok and nothing else. He didnt come to his sons 6th birthday party or even call for that matter. He hasnt tried to contact the boys at all. He left me with no money (we dont have a checking acct. right now) and no vehicle.

Would you think it strange if your husband or partner sat at a computer every day asking questions to total strangers?
Ive noticed some people must spend literally hours asking questions,have they no work to go to? They cant all be house husbands surely.
