Jehovah's Witnesses have a remarkably satisfying, bible-supported theology which seems to almost literally "have all the answers"; yet isn't that what one would expect from true Christianity?
Jehovah's Witnesses are unique for their rejection of paganisms, use of God's personal name, and global preaching by every active adherent. No other religious organization can claim such purity of worship.
These facts about Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps relevant to this question. The more one compares this Christian religion with others, the more remarkable it is shown to be.
1. Jehovah's Witnesses have no paid clergy. Yet they remain tightly organized with more than 6.5 million active Jehovah's Witness preachers (about 16 million associate themselves with the religion). Even fulltime preachers and workers at their branch offices are unpaid volunteers.
2. There is no elite class among Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the few 'anointed' among them enjoy no special privileges in their congregations on earth. An anointed person (one of those relative few with a heavenly hope) is not elevated above his fellow congregants in any way, and he may not even qualify for appointment as a simple 'deacon' or elder. There are no titles; EVERYONE is addressed as 'brother' or 'sister'.
3. No person benefits economically from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the 8 to 20 men who serve on their Governing Body receive simply room, board, medical care, and reimbursement for certain personal expenses according to the exact same provision as every other branch volunteer.
4. About a hundred men have served on Jehovah's Witnesses' Governing Body committee during the past 125 years or so. The vast majority of them have spent the vast majority of their adult lives volunteering for their organization's purposes, and the vast majority have died faithfully and near-pennilessly while still under their legal 'vow of poverty'.
5. Amazingly, Jehovah's Witnesses did not splinter as a sect from some other religion. Instead, a truly tiny but sincere group of bible students studied only the Scriptures to determine the will of God. Thus their religion remains absolutely independent of and not carrying the sins of Christendom's history, yet carries the authority of Christ's teachings.
6. Despite the distortions of anti-Witnesses, throughout their modern history Jehovah's Witnesses have refused to claim divine inspiration or infallibility for their teachings. They have pointed to the bible (and not any particular translation) as the only inspired infallible means of knowing God's thoughts. For over 125 years, their teachings have been presented as merely the results of sincere bible research by imperfect but godly humans.

I had neighbours who were jehovah witnesses and they were really nice people. You shouldnt judge people on religion anyway, thats like asking 'what do you think about white people', its just a silly question.
Anyway my neighbour died and his jehovah witness funeral was really nice. It was so different from a catholic funeral, where i find the services to be quite cold and formal. The jehovah witness funeral was friendly, and informal and they mainly spoke about the man who had died and what he accomplished in his life, not about the spirit of christ blah blah blah

I think they have their own way of believing. They have gotten alot more passive and changed their rules over the last 5 years. For example, they used to say you couldn't go to college, now you can. They used to say that you couldnt' get a blood transfusion, but now that decision is between you and jehovah.
Personally, It hink they are finding it harder and harder to find people willing to truely dedicate themselves and their families to this religion. The only friends and family you have time for are the ones in the "truth" as they call it.
You have to log the time you spend in bible study, in meetings (what they call church service) and time spent "in the service" (what they call the door to door you are probably familar with. if you dont spend enough time then you aren't doigng your part and you fall out of favor with the church.
I think the biggest problem I have with them is the way they treat people who have addictions or other problems. If you have a family member that is an addict - they will "disfellowship" them. that means that if you are still involved with the church you can't even talk to them anymore. If you do, you can get disfellowshiped to. Most churches rally around those in need. The Jehovah's witnesses disown them.

You know what there not as bad as you think!!! Yes they bug you by coming to your door, but there also people too no matter what they preach... I am Catholic but grew up Luthern. Recently i been curiouse about religions and i must say that all of them are worth it. The only reason people down one another is cause they were brought up like that. Dont judge one another cause no ones perfect. They dont belive in alot of the same things that other religiions do but they have one thing in common and thats God. Since ive been curious it all started with a jehovah witness comming to my door i thought to myself why do i think this way of them. So i shedualed a meeting with them to discuss alot of things, and the reason there called jehovah witnesses is because they use gods real name which is jehovah. They dont belive in christmas cause they say that it doesnt specifically mention crists day of birth that it was just a gathering for when he was already born, but they do know that it was some time in december. Dont ask us your question go find out for yourself plus it doesnt hurt to even learn different ones. and at the end you decide what you want to be.. I believe if you believe in the almighty himself and show up at any of his houses that your a beliver either way. There's thousands of bibles out there and you dont know which one to believe in they've all been rewrittin and tossed from here to there. Find out for yourself which one makes the more since. I am still reading with the jehovah's and i became very good friends of there's, but it doesnt mean i am one... There people too and dont deserve the door slammed in there face.. My grandma yells at me all the time, dont talk to them anymore.. i tell her i want to find it out for myself..

This question is asked quite a bit. Honestly I think we are simply imperfect people striving to follow what we feel God's word the Bible teaches.

I think of them as just another door-to-door salesperson. They are not the only religious group trying to sell their philosophy. Most churches charge "tithes", or "dues" if you will, and the more the church grows, the more money they take in. The "NO SOLICITING" sign on my door pertains to all of them. I'm sure they have some good intentions, but it really seems to come down to money in the end.

I don't think they are annoying. They are just doing they job. I believe they are the only ones that goes by the bible. I think people should do a deep research before judging.

I don't preach to you, so why preach to me? even when you are told, I follow my own beliefs, and am my own person.
And why then come back :/ if I was nice to you and told you that instead of slamming the door in your face?
Some are okay, others are frustrating!
