…is this morally and ethically correct?
The story. My parents are divorced and my father pays $1200 in child support payments a month for me and my little sister. When I began college last year I had asked my mother to help me out in school. I told her since I wasn’t home for 8 out of the 12 months I should receive some of the $600 when I am in school, to help me pay for expenses. (This was one of the very few times I have ever asked her for anything. Since I was in high school I paid for everything I used, needed and ate because she said we were too poor.) She said no because without all the money she wouldn’t be able to pay for the rented house in an upper middle class neighborhood. I brought up the fact that she gave $200 to the church every month. I asked her to cut down on her spending to help me up at college because I had nothing. She cried and asked me if I wanted her and my little sister to live in some hole in the ground and asked me if I wanted my little sister to get...

It seams to me people are on here with questions like " is it o.k. to cheat" or " am i a *****" or " am i over reacting" and there will be 30-50 answers 90% stating the obvious, yet they pic a best answer of the 1 or 2 people who support thier wrong doing. To those people i say to you, you are only cheating yourself. if you want real advice then listen to everyone, and not just your supporter.

Im 13, mom makes wear bras w/ much support and coverage, she says I need them. But I don't enjoy them, especially now in the summer. But mom is stubborn. I fought a lot w/ mom over this, got grounded a few times for being disrespectful. Last week I lost my temper, got a pair of scissors and in front my mom cut up the bras she gave me. I know this was wrong, apologized but my mom got REALLY mad at me. Punishment: She took me to a lingerie store and got me those bras called long line that covers all of your torso and back have 10 hooks in the back, all of them made of very thich material. I'll have to wear them till Oct 1st, EVERYDAY,They are kinda uncomfortable, much worse than my other bras. I gotta wear all the time, except in bed. Dont you agree this punishment is too harsh and unfair? What do I do now? They make me sweat, I HATE them! Those hooks make me MAD! but it seems mom won't back off. And if she doesn't back off? How can I live with them, the sweat, and those hooks??

My husband got drunk at a family partner and did lots of things that were out of character. He pecked my sister on her ear and told her he loved her and kept dragging her on the dance floor. Both of which are usually unacceptable in the indian tradition. He scratched my hand when I asked him politely not to drink any more and told me to **** off in front of my family. He was drunk to his eye balls and insulted me deeply. He slept all the way home and when I asked him not to get into the clean bed he told me he wished he could be a single man. He then slept until 9pm and went up to sleep more. He then got up at 2am and disturbed my sleep by repeatedley shuffling into me. I had to resort sleeping in the spare room. He didnt say goodbye when he went to work in the morning and wouldnt answer his calls when I tried to call him. Today he kisses his sister in law,.,,,,what would happen if my brother in law kissed me one day?

What would you do in this situation?

Lets say you’ve been friends with someone online for several years. You both have a lot in common and like talking to each other. However your friend wants start talking on the phone but you don’t. This causes a lot tension and your friend tells you that if you don’t talk to them on the phone they won’t talk to you ever again. Your friend wants to be closer to you and feels that not making the next step to talk on the phone means you don’t really care about being their friend. You have told your friend that it would make you very uncomfortable to do that and that you just want to email each other but they seem to not listen to you. What would you say to your friend?

My two friends and I were having some drinks on Saturday night and decided to all book a Carribean cruise, which we did. When I woke up in the morning I was like omg what did I do? Yeah yeah, I was silly, but that's besides the point. Anyway my husband it totally fine with me going, I asked his permission before I booked it. But, now I'm feeling kind of guilty and really want him to come, he says no because it's a girl's trip. What should I do, now that I'm sober again I'm feeling really guilty and really wanted it to be him and I for both of our first cruises. He is totally fine with this, I'm the one that's feeling bad. I can cancel with a full refund and tell my friends I can't get the time off work, but then I'll feel bad too, I don't know what to do, any suggestions. I love my husband so much and really want to go with him the first time, but I love my friends too and like I've said he is fine with me going. What do you guy's think? Should I be feeling bad like this?

What can you do about unreliable friends? I go to college out-of-state, and they never come to visit me, despite my visits to their schools. I always plan trips and get-togethers during the summer, but they always fall apart. It's "Oh, man, that costs money. I can't pay for that.". And the thing that pisses me off most: last-minute back outs.

Last weekend, I planned a trip to the beach for Sunday. I had six of us going. So, Saturday I pack up my car, make a lunch, get prepared... Then Saturday night, I get multiple phone calls: "Something came up..." "I'm in another city and can't get a ride..." "Oh, I decided to do something else instead." All of this at 10:30pm the night before! Needless to say, no beach trip.

Will they ever get their act together?

If the man in question was only 17 yrs old when he was put in jail would you have trust issues with him?Okay my daughters real father and i were together for 3 yrs sometimes on/off and even got engaged. We broke up when i found out he had omitted the fact that he had been in prison(one of his family members let it slip)and he got defensive would not tell me why.Anyway now that i am getting a divorce and he is going to meet our 5 yr old daughter for the first time(though they have communicated over the years)he finally told me why he was put in prison. He was put in prison for assult charges, stealing he was accused of robbing a number of places with a group of people but claims it was only 3 times in which he helped, and poccession of drugs he claims to not have been an actual dealer though. He was released from prison after his 22 b-day and went live and work for his uncle in Ukrane. He now handles banking/investments and is 34 yrs old.

I am going through a divorce and my soon to be Ex husband is making my life a living h*ll. He has been living with another woman for months now and he is always calling me and driving by my house checking up on me. I have never once called him up on rumors that I hear or things that he has done since our split. Everytime he hears anything about me he is calling and chewing me out. He says nasty things to try and hurt my feelings, and it works, and uses our children against me. The other day I let a friend crash on my couch because he had been drinking. I ran into him and told him he could stop by and sober up a bit. He passed out and I let him stay on the couch. My ex showed up and saw him there and now he is pissed. He is spreading all these nasty rumors and making me look like an awful person. All I was trying to do is help. My friends keep telling me to keep my chin up but it is getting pretty hard to. What should I do???? Is there any help out there for me.

I was asked to be a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding and agreed. The dresses that the bride chose cost $160. I was told to order my dress by a certain date, which I did-put down the deposit for it ($80 + taxes) and now the wedding is canceled. The bride and groom made a mutual decision to split up and didn't tell anyone about it until after she moved her stuff out a week later. Now all of the bridesmaids are stuck with paying for our dresses. The bride and groom have not expressed any remorse for our financial loss or anything else! We all understand it was a hard decision to make, and want to be supportive but we are all broke college students who are stuck with a new bill now! The bride is not stuck with paying for a dress because she was wearing her mother's wedding dress. Should we ask for help paying for these dresses we will never wear? The bridal shop refuses any refund or even store credit and when the dresses arrive we are lliable for the other half. PLEASE HELP!!!

My boyfriend and I just broke up after 3 years together. About a year ago, I found out that he had been having a long-term emotional affair. Since then, we have tried to make it work, but it just never seems to be able to get back to the way things used to be. I have become bitter and suspicious and we now both realize this isn't going to work out. He is actually the one who took the step to end things. I'm upset, but I understand. Now, though, he has become so angry. He doesn't want to speak to me at all. He is even going to quit the bowling team we are on together and stop going to the church we go to so that he doesn't have to spend time around me. We are not young, he's 38, I'm 29, we have kids from previous marriages who have all grown to love each other. Can someone explain to me why he is so angry at me when I was the victim in this?
