3 years doesn't seem that big. But it is a Junior in college and a Senior in HS. And to complicate things even more I have a sister who is older than the girl I want to date

Yes. Just don't **** her till she's legal.

If you're serious about her, wait until she's 18. Right now, she's not legal and though 3 years seems like nothing, it depends on what phases in life you are in. A 31 and 34 year old would do just fine. But for a 17 year old who's not even out of the house yet, and a guy with with a few years of college experience behind him....this is not the same. Sure, girls usually go for guys that are a little older, but the experiences at this stage are different. To tell the truth, I worry more about how this would affect her....

Let her finish her senior year and focus on what's important...getting to college just like you did. Chances are that you two could break up or find that you have too many differences after some time goes by, and I think that will get in the way of her focus, which is important during this year of her life.

Besides all this, you will most likely want to get physical at some point, and you know very well that she is too young for you to sleep with. Either wait or date other college girls. No, this isn't what you wanted to hear, but if you are a responsible 20 year old guy, and not just acting on attraction, you'll do the smart thing.

Im not sure about the girl being 20, girls are usually more mature than guys. Get to know each other better. When I was 17, i met a guy who was 8 years older. We now have a place and we've been together for a long time, so some things work.

I thought 16 is the legal age? Anyway 20 year old guy with a 17 year old girl is more than acceptable. I like to think 4 years is ideal but 3 is definitely still good.

I actually just did what your doing for the last month the girl was amazing in a lot of ways, but I just couldn't see past the age different. I have a very respectable reputation in my community and i didnt want to ruin that, plus I want a women not a girl. I actually ended it lastnight and I still am not sure about it, but in the long run i think it was best. I'm going back to school in less than 2 months, so i think i made the right decision

YAH! that's acceptable! just keep the "love making" on the DL until you turn 18 in what, a couple of months. if ya'll haven't started dating yet, by the time ya'll get serious and havin sex... you should be 18 so it'll be no problem! just make sure you're mature enough and on the same level because girls generally do mature quicker than guyz.... so while she may be 3 years older literally... she could be like 5 mentally unless you're up to her maturity level or she's immature... *KP*

If you are feeling iffy about it, I wouldn't risk it. Is she worth going to jail for? I mean, if she was 18, dude, I would say no problem.

Then again, my cousin started dating her husband when she was 17 and he was 21 and they got married as soon as she turned 18. They had a 2 year on-line relationship before that...So, wow....Ummm, I guess it depends on her maturity level.

No that's not bad at all. That's actually about right. 3 years is no big deal. Go ahead ask her out or if your currently dating her hold on to her!

That's tough bro. I've considered the same situation, except my sister is a year younger than yours. I'd say go for it, but you might find it to be too close to dating your sister... As far as personality/attitude-wise.

Wait another year. If she likes you, she'll wait as well. Don't get involved with a minor. If things go too far, her parents can have you arrested.

I'm 17 and I don't think it's a problem. So long as she is willing to date you too, you needn't worry!
