My two friends and I were having some drinks on Saturday night and decided to all book a Carribean cruise, which we did. When I woke up in the morning I was like omg what did I do? Yeah yeah, I was silly, but that's besides the point. Anyway my husband it totally fine with me going, I asked his permission before I booked it. But, now I'm feeling kind of guilty and really want him to come, he says no because it's a girl's trip. What should I do, now that I'm sober again I'm feeling really guilty and really wanted it to be him and I for both of our first cruises. He is totally fine with this, I'm the one that's feeling bad. I can cancel with a full refund and tell my friends I can't get the time off work, but then I'll feel bad too, I don't know what to do, any suggestions. I love my husband so much and really want to go with him the first time, but I love my friends too and like I've said he is fine with me going. What do you guy's think? Should I be feeling bad like this?

My husband knows how I feel and he says that if I still want to go, to go ahead. He said it doesn't matter to him that I get to go on a cruise first, because when we go together it will still be special because we'll be together.

Don't feel bad. Odds are, if the roles were reversed and he had drunkenly booked a cruise, he'd miss you but it wouldn't stop him from going off with the guys. Be happy that your man is accepting and encouraging you to be independant of him and enjoy some time with your friends! There will be other trips....don't bail on your girls. Take your cue from your hubby here, and go off and have fun!

You and your husband should first enjoy a carribean cruise together; and even though he says he doesn't mind you going, you would be wise to cancel the trip with the girls. Understand that a loving husband doesn't want to see his wife unhappy, so your husband isn't going to tell you not to go. You've got to be wise enough to know that these kinds of trips build memories--wonderful memories that you and your husband can share for years to come. It's not about feeling bad or loving your friends too; it's about saving something this special for the man you love. Do the wise thing and cancel your trip.

I think you should tell your friends that you shouldn't have booked a cruise without telling your husband and without thinking it through. (Tell them your husband is upset about it. Make him look like the bad guy if you are worried about them getting mad at you.) Cancel the trip and plan one later for you and your husband to take.

Sounds as if your husband is telling you it's ok. Unless he's a liar there's no reason for you not to go out and have some fun on your cruise. You both can go another time and have some fun.

You go with your friend. Once you are back home, hug your hubby to tell him how you missed him when you enjoyed the trip. It will sure add up more love only. Go ahead.

Listen to your husband. Go on the trip with the girls, but pay attention to places you go, and when you go with your husband, take him to the places you think he'd like.

And be sure to give him a special "goodbye" and "hello" when you leave and return.

Don't feel bad. Just go and enjoy it! We all need time away from our spouse once in a while. It is good for your relationship. So don't feel guilty, just go!

Talk to your friends let them know what you are thinking and feeling. If they are your true friends then they will understand and help you do what you feel is right. I think that is sweet you what your hubby to go!

Could your husband actually be looking forward to you being away? I don't know him, but perhaps he has a few wild oats to sow himself.
