A couple of yrs ago a new pole dancing club opened in our town. When it first opened, my partner's friends all all wanted to see what the fuss was about when we were out drinking so we went and had a drink there. To cut a long story short, one of his friends decided to have a lapdance (even though he had a gf back home) and my partner was so angry he told me we were going home. His words were 'Im so discusted in him!'
Last night my partner turned round to me and told me that before he met me he had a lapdance and it was 'no big deal' its 'something men do' and 'if they didnt want to do it, they wouldnt be there'
Is this double standards? Should I be angry with him for something he did before he met me? Is this sort of thing as degrading as I think it is?

My bf and his ex used to exchanged email 2-3 x a day. i fianlly confronted both of them and me and my bf agreed that tha he will email her once a month only.Few days ago my bf received postcards from his ex t wo days in a row.i know i could no change this woman from what shes doing but maybe shes not that sensitivethat this act makes me very uncomfortable. Should i let my bf tell her to stop sending postcards(now and in the future) or should i myself tell her to stop?

I have been unhappy for a while. Now we have a baby who I adore, but I am not happy and my wife is unhappy about my unhappiness. It is effecting the baby's sleep patterns. SHould I go? How long should I stay? Most divorces occur within the first year after the birth of the first child.

A so called friend has just dropped me & to be honest it's a relief as she had become so demanding & such hard work that it felt like I had a second job.I'm ok with this (we'd been having problems for over a year) but my boyfriend says I should'nt just let her go as we've been mates for such a long time. I guess my question is do you really need to text or ring someone every day or see them every week for them to be considered a good friend. Because thats what she seemed to want & to be honest I just don't have the time to devote to just one person.

plain and simple my mom tried to kill me yesterday. no joke. thier is a big scartch under my eye. another in my eyeball.some on my neck. i cant see as well since she beat me up. is this child abuse? i am 12 years old. not a bad kid i have 2 ferrets which i love very much some freinds and a abusive mom. my dad is in korea atm. what should i do? i am also kinda scared to live here with her, she said next time"next time i am gonna try and take out my eyes and make them black" i know this is verbal abuse but is this child abuse?? o yea my sister is taking sides with my mom. so it is me against them. i know it is wrong to hit your parents but defend yourself is ok rite?

Alright, so there's this gal that i like whom I've told my feeling to last year but she said she just wanna be friends. However, as times goes, I feel that some things have changed and now I feel that she puts more interests.

However, I feel that sometimes she's too stubborn on what she wants, especially on me. For example, today, she and her pal was in the administration office to ask to have a look at the school yearbook. However, the person in charge was having a phone and they waited, finally they get out and then she was like telling her friend not to go first and asked me to ask the person. I said that person was having a phone, but she said, 'Never mind, just talk to her," Oh, and yes, I'm actually, well you can say the head of the yearbook committee and they're assisting.

What does this mean? Do you think it's mean? Or is she just confident that I'd do everything for her?

I am going through really a boring life. My working place…very quite (boring staff). Family…i am staying with my mom only. Not all the time I can talk to her. Friends all got married. My boyfriend-working outstation. I am not a person like to go around outside looking for friends and/or chating. I can realize nowdays that I am smiling or laughing very less now days. Please give me some ideas how to be happy in my life. Some motivation advice.

I have come across a lot of working mums who must work 2 or 3 jobs, attend school (High, College or University) and look after children. Are the wages really that low in the States?

I'm not from the States, but our minimum wage is $12.00p/hr and I thought that was low.

I don't think that having kids is wrong or anything, but I have a friend, who is 17, and seems to only want to get married and have a lot of children. I am worried about this for a lot of reasons. One, I am afraid that she will be quicker to marry a guy at a younger age and not think as hard as she should, two, that she will not take her college education as seriously as she should because she does not plan on having a job, three, that she will end up living through her children and husband instead of taking up her own intrests, and finally that she is just not ready to make this desicion in high school. I have nothing against SAHM, so dont think I am discouraging her from taking that role, but I feel that she should have goals for herself and I have never heard her talk about wanting to acomplish anything but to be a wife and mother. I do not say anything to her when she talks about this, but I want to know if there is a way to talk to her about my concerns without offending her?

If a man is married (prenuptial free) to a woman who's father dies and he leaves his daughter a considerable amount of money, and they get a divorce, will the husband be entitled to half the money? This question is hypothetical.
A second situation: what if the wife's father died BEFORE she was married? Does this change how the money will be dealt in case of divorce?

My son is upset w/me I let him go to the party from 3 p.m till
10 p.m. then picked him up. Took 30 minutes for him to come downstairs...they were playing spin the bottle...7 girls 4 boys...
The girls came down and begged me to let him stay, I stayed firm....however he is really mad...oh well... Did what I thought was right...just wondered what you all thought and would you ever have a party like this? Thanks

annoys me soooooo much,
