good question. it depends on if we had been through a proper break up. if we had broken up two years previous either one if not both of us could have moved on, found new lovers. however if i were still single i'd maybe paly it cool and pretend i wanted nothing more than friends if that is what the woman in question had asked of me. To force the issue would be arrogant and rude.
however if she was upfront when we meet again for the first time after those two years (if i were single) i would want her to tell me upfront that she was still in love with me and she wanted to rekindle the romance between us. if i was still in love with her then i would jump at the chance to get back with her, however taking it slowly. If i were no longer in love with her then i'd be a man about it and tell her. I know it may hurt her emotionally rather that than lead her on which may hurt her more deeply later on. and i'd still probably remain friends.
Though to be fair this scenario will never happen in my life. if this is a reality for you just be honest and open tell the guy how you feel. the worst he can do is say he is not interested.
good luck.

Two years is a big time, therefore one has to share the changes in friendship circle with old friend. One must be always true to friend.

id rather go with the truth, but to conclude things of not liking her in the future is being immature. maybe he is still uncertain about it, continue your friendship then when the time comes, you should confess.

I would treat her as a friend and a friend only. don't do anything that will give her a sign because that will probably make things worse. Eventually she will move on.
