When you (a guy) are sitting in the same table as 2 other girls in a cafeteria and they are talking something and laughing, is it ok to ask "hi girls, I'm curious what you 2 are talking about. Would you mind sharing with me?". Because of the noise level in the cafe you can't clearly comprehend what they were talking about, so the question might not seem stupid.

No. Girls hate it...no matter what...when someone tries to pry, even something slight like that. We hate it! Don't ask a group of girls that question. If they were speaking to you and wanted you to hear it, then you would.

you can try.but first dont ask about what they just talk.you just say hi, nice to see you here and talk something else , after that you can asked what did you talk and laugh just a moment ago....so they will not think you are stupid or weird

no, that is not a good idea. they are probably talking about a boy they like or something feminine and you have just intruded on their conversation.
i would try hi is this seat take approach.

well if your some complete random person who askes what are you talking about they would prob just look at you and yea..
if your their friend then i guess i see no problem but iunno i guess it depends if you were part of the conversation
