We have been together 7 years and have a son together. If something were to happen to me, I know he and my son would be okay financially because I have left him everything. However, this would not be the case if something were to happen to him. His 2 brothers are his beneficiaries.

Though I have a good paying job, I still rely on his income to help pay our bills. I know we would struggle. And I also know that I would be the one to organize & pay for his funeral.

His argument is "My brothers aren't greedy. They won't leave you high and dry." I don't feel it should be necessary for me to ask them for anything.

Then he tells me, "You're so money hungry. How do I know when I die, you aren't going to spend it all on your new boyfriend?" WTF?! Maybe twice in the seven years we've been together have I asked him for money and it's never been for more than $20.

So am I wrong to be upset about this?

If someone asks a question on here like, "who would you rather be with: a handsome guy or a guy that'll protect you/be loyal/love you unconditionally", almost all of the girls say they'd take the second.

Why, then, do girls never give the people with these qualities a chance? Girls only go out with dumbass jocks who cheat on them by doing it with their ex-girlfriends and stuff.

What I'm getting at is, many guys who have these great qualities are not the "dreamiest" guys, and therefore they will never get a girl who is looking for a guy JUST LIKE THEM.

Is it just because they don't want to be made fun of or something?
Care to explain girls? I'm not trying to insult women or anything, it's just fustrating.

Ive been married my wife for about 7yrs who suffers from depression and has a very low self esteem. Ive thought about leaving her many times but when I get close to actually doing it I start feeling guilty. We have tried counseling and
just cant seem to shake this state of mind that she is in. Most of her problems come from living in a dysfunctional family growing up and she has been through alot in her life. We are both in our early 40's and we have been drifting apart for a while. I am a very determined person but I am getting to the point of giving up. I have tried the nice approach....the tough Love approach...and somewhere in between to get her to snap out of it but nothing seems to work. Her friends have tried to help her as well but no luck. She has heard the "You have to Love yourself before you can Love someone else" speech many times. I dont know if I could leave her without feeling like I have abandon her but the time has come for me to do something....

So my boyfriend and i were discussing going to the bar or the club and dancing with other people (we are both asking this question) . we've been together for just a few weeks shy of a year. By the time i turn 21 he still wont be able to go. I love dancing and my boyfriend thinks that if i want to go to the club or bar that i should go with him. first of all, what is your take on if i should wait or not and secondly would it be wrong if someone were to ask me to dance and i accepted. so there is this guy i have been talking to for about 3 months now and i really like him as more than a friend, but the problem is that he is 35 and im 20, he has two kids and im in college. he is the maintenance guy at my apartment complex so i only ever get to talk to him, at most, two times a week. he seems to enjoy it when i come to talk to him and our conversations are really casual; he's a great listener, but it took me most of these 3 months to get him to really open up to me. so i was wondering if i should tell him that i like him or if i should keep that to myself; it's really hard to do that because i really do like this guy for who he is (i just want to give him a nice hug right now) but he's the shy type that would probably not know how to handle info like that or at least not yet. i have asked him to see a movie with me, he said yes, but he can't cuz he has his kids on weekends. i think im really starting to fall hard for this guy; we have a lot in common...what do i do?

I like just added him yesterday and i commented his pics and i commented his blog which barely anyone does except for his bestfriends! My wedding rehersal is Friday and I have only been to like two in my life....how does this play out, what do we do? We aren't doing it at the chruch and my best friend got officiated to marry us so I am sort of in the dark. It's a cookout at my fiance's parents house too....so very informal.

I already know the best man will be late due to work and picking up the tux but I want to know if he really needs to be there or if we can do the big stuff without him then when he gets there introduce him to who he is escorting.

Would it be stupid or weird to have a honeymoon themed bridal shower? Items on the 'suggested list' would range from sunblock to BP gas gift cards, shampoo, body wash, etc?

My Maid of Honor is throwing me a bridal shower and we thought up this idea because my fiance and I are... broke... and these items, though not the typical gift or pretty, would be really helpful to us.

My husband received an email a few days a from ex. She emailed him twice, he responded at first with a "I'm sorry I don't remember you". She refreshed his memory that they dated for 2 months nearly a decade ago. She's emailed him 2 times since then and he hasn't responded. He asked for my help in coming up with a 'nice way' of telling someone "I'm not interested in talking to you". I can't for the life of me think of how to phrase that without sounding rude. Have any of you ever had to say something like this to an ex?
