They really should make those hampers bigger.

Why does it bother you so much? What is happening is he is tossing the to the hamper and missing! It is not that important to him to walk across the room to move the clothing a few feet!
You are not going to change him. You may nag him and he will put them in the hamper, but every time he does he will be thinking what can be described as "unloving thoughts" (this forum is read by children, so I will not be explicit here)
This is another one of those things that are never going to change. I still have not figured out why my wife can not put the toilet seat down if it is up.

LOL, mine does that all the time. He goes to take a shower in the morning and just drops his clothes right there in front of it. I of course end up walking around our bedroom picking up after him. I dont know why he cant walk 4 feet and throw the clothes into the laundry hamper. I am still asking him why he cant remember to put the toilet seat back down when he is done.

My girlfriend constantly just puts dishes in the sink instead of putting them in the dishwasher, which right next to it. Used to drive me insane. But despite requests, arguments, etc. it keeps happening.
All you can do is put the clothes in the hamper yourself and find a way to not let it make you crazy.

Haha! Last night when I was getting into bed, I looked and saw a pile of clothes, shorts and a shirt all sort of thrown about and I piled them all up together and said "Such a messy boy!!" and he got all defensive. I have no idea why they do it but they all do it! Oh, and watch out for the guy who eats the last of something in a box and leaves the empty box in the pantry! Guys are notorius for that too!

I can't tell you why they do it but I just stopped doing his laundry if it wasn't in with the rest of the dirty clothes. He started putting them in when he ran out of things to wear!

My husbands answer to that question is, "They aren't dirty and I may wear it again." UHHGGG I hate that.... I've done this for my situation. I put one basket for dirty clothes and one for maybe-wear-again clothes...
