mine is a dog, and i just realized it.
problem is, i know i need to cut him loose, for my own good, but i dont want to hurt his feelings.
if you lady was ready to move on, would you rather her stick around in hopes that she may see somthing in you that she missed, or
just say, get out, and get it over with?

Before you blow him out the water, is the profile current? I had one or two I forgot about when I was dating someone. Doesn't mean I was cheating or planning to, I just forgot. Also, how did you find out about the dating site?

Anyway, if that's your only evidence then you might want to wait and just ask him what's going on. If you can't get pass this just move on. You won't ever trust him and it's not fair for him if he's being falsely accused. Then again if he's guilty then you letting him go was definitely for the best.

Here's my honest answer: you said it's for YOUR own good, not "our" or "his" so you already don't give a rat's *** what he feels or how it will affect him. Women never do! They only think as far ahead as their own chest, and that's pretty damn short from what I've seen. If my lady was ready to move on, She's going to rationalize it just like you and do only what she wants, and nothing shy of a gunshot to the tmple will change that.

Why prolong the inevitable? No matter when or how its said it is going to hurt his feelings, but you can't let that stop you from moving on.
Just do what has to be done; do not allow yourself to be guilted into second thoughts; and get on with your life. He'll get over it.

you know it is going to be hard either way you try to do it but you need to be honest and straight up. because I know I would hate my wife if she lead me on to think that I still had a chance if there were none . My advise to you make sure you are certain and try to exhaust every avenue before you jump bail. good luck I hope that this helped..

If he's cheating on you file a divorce case and ask him to move out of the house

Perhaps he wants to know if he is still interesting to others. Perhaps you are doing something that makes him so insecure that he is seeking acceptance or assurances elsewhere. Who knows how men or women think, not even the shadow.

if you stay, you will be miserable knowing and feeling what you already do. if you go now and go quickly, then everyone gets over the hurt sooner
