I broke up with my boyfriend, due to distance, the fact that he's told me numerous times he never wants to get married or have kids, his partying/alcohol-abusive lifestyle, and that he still parties with girls he had adulterous flings with while dating his last girlfriend. I don't trust him, I wasn't happy in a going nowhere relationship, and I am happy and relieved to be single.

My mom is a different story. My ex is a charmer, and after a week spent visiting my whole family loved him. She's not willing to accept my breakup. In the past two days, she has endlessly nagged me to call him and apologize, going on about how much she liked him, talking about how he'd 'never do anything like that' when I tell her why I don't trust him, how he has a drinking problem. The last time she started in on I like him I lost my temper and said I don't. I feel that she of all people should be on my side of a breakup, no matter what. It's kind of hurtful to have her take up his side. What do I do?

time they change their minds and say "I DON'T", why can't people just stay true to their words anymore? What is so different these days compared to the yester years when saying "I LOVE YOU" actually meant something?

My 12 and 14 year old want to move in with their Dad. One side of me says, let them go and the other says that their home with me benefits them more now and the experiences/exposures they will get living here will be aid them in adulthood.

First point: They want to go experience life with Dad.

The school district they would be moving to is 4 times as large as the one they're in now. There's more drugs there.

The school there is about 30 minutes away vs. ours that is 8 minutes away. It's easy to run them back and forth for extra-curricular activities.

Here, they have access to a wide variety of small scale culture-artsy events as well as opportunity to interact with an eclectic group of people. (This is a recreation area with many early retirees from all over the world. It's not your average small town.)

Their Dad and myself are both happily remarried and have had more children.

I worry about moving the kids to his house (3 hours away) because I fear they won't get as much

He cheated on me before. And this time round I found out yet again his fling with another colleague from his company. I felt really really sad and heartbroken but I am not planning to let him go so easily. Should I forward his intimate conversation with his colleague to e whole company? Or what should I do to let go of the hatred?

Hi Friends, I am from India, 31 years female and still single. When I was 16 I was fooled by a guy who later went on to marry his ex. After I got over him, another guy came into my life when I was 25 and he too cheated me, used me to forget his ex. Later he dumped me saying that I could not help him forget his ex. He married a girl of his parent's choice. There was another guy who was 5 years younger to me who tried persuading me to marry him. I did not accept it because I was 5 years older to him. Finally when I agreed, he refused saying that the 5 years of age difference will be a problem. I believe in marriage and love, but they dont seem to come to me. I dont believe in physical relationship before marriage with anyone still as I consider marriage to be important. I am educated, though I do not look very beautiful, I am good looking, I have the qualities that the guys say they want, but then I do not understand that why does anyone not love me enough to marry me.

My wife's child support ended for 2nd child. CourtOrder reads "..continuing until the child reaches age 18 years, or reaches 19 years and is not a full time high school student residing with a parent, or further Order of the court". The child is 18 now, graduated from high school and lives with us (wife being custodial parent). I believe ex-husband still has to pay child support until he turns 19 yeays old. He stopped paying in June. Does he still have to pay?

What can I do? This is a long distance relationship which has worked very well for two years but I now have not seen him for quite a while because now she refuses to accept our relationship. We had all been friends for over 10 years, & he was my Mums best friend too, before she died last year. Earlier this year despite taking precautions, I fell pregnant. She was livid & assumed I was trying to trap her Dad. He did not want the baby. I lost it. Now I am alone trying to deal with it all, I am unhappy & he is really unhappy as well. He was widowed & has raised his daughters alone. He will not risk his relationship with her, but I would never come between him and his daughters either. In fact I have actively encouraged him to spend time with them. It does not help that she is extremely spoilt & has now moved to be with him-to stop him seeing me. She is so selfish, and my partner does not know what to do & neither do I. If you have any ideas on how to deal with her. Please help

Well my great aunt just died and she didn't make a will. My grandmother (her sister) has been taking care of her for a very long time, more than 15 years. Now we found this one thing that said she had $90,000. None of that money went to my grandmother. None. The money was split two ways between her two favorite nephews. They never did anything for her except really make her laugh. I know that's a good thing but my grandmother did everything for her. Do you think this is fair? Can we fight this?

My b/f and I have only been going out for 4 months now and he is being soo pushy about sleeping over at each others house. I'm still not comfortable yet because we both live with our parents. His parents are chill, but mine are conservative. We got into this house arguement last night b/c he crawled into my bed and fell asleep..w/o my permission. I got upset. He keeps pushing and pushing and says if it doesn't happen, we'll break-up. Should I convince my parents to have sleep overs with him, or is he being a baby and wanting his way...I dont want to lose him over something soo lame. (Note: he's 20...I'm 23..)

We've been married for 6 mos. 2nd marriage for both. He moved into my house. We knew going in that I made more money than him. I paid all the wedding expenses. Although he's tried, put forth his best effort- he's been through three jobs and none of those worked out. He has a college degree, a good resume. Finally, he found a job, it pays 30k and he's been there for six weeks. It seems as though this one will pan out. So, he's able to give me some money for the first time. I've let him borrow a total of 2K, he's paid back only 600. We talked, escalated into arguing- fighting now for a month. He says that he has to pay off his credit cards. He says that he's giving me all he can. I don't believe that to be true. He says I don't need the money anyway. I'm comfortable but unless he pays some of the household expenses, I feel like he's taking advantage of me. I'm going to hold him to paying 100 weekly. He insists I'm obsessed about $, gives me a hard time.

My estranged husband is extrememly abusive and has not been living in my home for at least 3 years. He has never been involved with raising or financing anything to do with the child. Husband has been living with "trash", to be nice, for years. He filed divorce papers against me approximately 18 months ago and because he was "unable to substantiate the claim" - he had no grounds, his attorney had to drop the charges. Though there was a temporary order which allowed him to take the child for visits, he was not allowed overnight visits because of his adulterous situation. The visits always resulted in frightening situations for my child. Therefore, I chose not to get the divorce in order to keep my son from more exposure to this situation. Is there a course of action whereby I can get complete custody of my child. I would appreciate any legal help available with this situation. Thank you!
