Well my great aunt just died and she didn't make a will. My grandmother (her sister) has been taking care of her for a very long time, more than 15 years. Now we found this one thing that said she had $90,000. None of that money went to my grandmother. None. The money was split two ways between her two favorite nephews. They never did anything for her except really make her laugh. I know that's a good thing but my grandmother did everything for her. Do you think this is fair? Can we fight this?

you can fight it in probate court, but the lawyer will probably cost you most of the money.

Did your grandmother take care of her out of love or for the money?
You can try to fight it but it will cause bad feelings in the family. Nothing in life is fair. And making people laugh is a gift.

Sadly, without a will or at least something stating who was in charge of her estate, I don't think there is much you can do. However, I am not an attorney. If you have the means and feel strongly enough, maybe consult an attorney to find out what your options are.

Just out of curiosity, who decided to give the nephews the money?

No its not fair, but no one ever said life was fair. You can fight it, but it will probably just end up costing you money. What your grandmother did was out of love and she will be rewarded.

or you need the money ?
all i can say, if lose something important over the money , i am sure it won't be easy to buy back with money.

I would say that is not fair. You may have a case, I'd check with an attorney. But in life, the good guys seem to always come up short. Good Luck.

Those were her sons, and they are entitled to her estate. If your grandmother took care of her sister for money, then she wasted her time. Otherwise she (and you) should be satisfied she did the right thing by her sister.
