My boyfriend and I have been going out for 3 months. Most of that time he has been away at university but now he is back home, it's still difficult to see him regularly since he wont tell his parents about us. I dont understand why he wont! He said he will when he goes back to uni but that means wasteing all that time wecould have together!
His mum is pretty bossy and controlling from what I've heard of her and I know guys find it more difficult to lie to their mums than girls do to make life easier, why doesnt he tell her? I have no problem in meeting his parents. I vaguely know them from church and apparently she doesnt like my family even though shes never properly met me!
But he is 19 and he should be able to go out with whoever he wants and he should be mature enough to tell them! He says he doesnt want to "wreck the family stability"!
He's going to tell them so why not now? It'll makethings so much easier fo everyone!
How can i persuade him to make him tell them about us?

I'm 23, female, and married. I have a few friends (but not a best friend, besides my husband) but I would like to have more. I have met very interesting people that I would like to make friends with but I get so nervous and will not ask them to hang out (go to the movies, shopping....). I feel that they won't like who I am. No one ever asked me to hang out with them, so I feel I'm not likeable. I have always been this way. I have never been fat, but I am overweight and I feel I never look good in the clothes I wear. My husband thinks I'm crazy and that I shouldn't have a problem making friends. I feel like a middle school boy trying to ask a girl on a date when I want to ask someone to be my friend or hang out. I do like myself and feel I'm a very interesting person. What are some ways I can get over feeling this way and make new freinds?

when you cook, have you ever done something wrong? Like, burning a pot or putting in wrong ingredients or something.

In my house, we burned lots of pots. We also burned popcorn in the microwave and it turned yellow inside cuz of the butter.

My husband is a good man by most accounts. Unfortunately I get the feeling he would rather be single. Not because he wants to be with other women... but he is very introverted. He likes to stay up late so he has time to himself... he prefers to entertain himself on the computer than to do stuff with me. Honestly, I don't see what he needs me around for.

Is this typical of married life? I'd like to know if I have the right to get upset... or if I'm over reacting.

I am not trying to be mean because I know that people wrack their brains and spend good money on them, but I don't bother taking any home and if it's forced on me I just toss it. I would rather see a card at the table stating " In lieu of a favor, we have spent the money on blankety blank charity."Does anyone else feel or do the same thing?

I have been in a 2yr relationship with my boyfriend & we were going to get married in Aug. Just a month ago he told me there was a possibility that he might be a father. This woman that he dated a while back now comes telling him that she has a 4yrold and that is his. When they were dating she dissapered from one day to another and now she comes back & tells him that she wants him to met the boy because is his. According to her she is going back to where she was because she has started a life somewhere else and that she has a partner. He accepted me with my 7yr old son but, now I don't know what I should do, do I continue with my plans or just give up on him.I am so confused,I love him but i feel betrayed because I feel that he probably knew this and he waited to tell me so if anyone please give me adviceThank you .appreciate it.He has been a great father figure for my son there is no doubt about that.He is my soulmate & I can't see my life without him.

A good friend of mine loaned another good friend a large sum of money.( over two grand) She told her there was no rush to pay it back because she knew this person had a real financial hardship at the time. It has been a little over a year, and she feels like she may not get it back. She doesn't want to ask for it, but she is feeling down becasue the friend has no problem purchasing items and talking about what she's spent.
This friend is now having some financial problems and could really use the money.
Does she just count the money as a lost?
How could she ask for it back?

suppose you fall in love with a girl, and everything's going great, until about six months into it, when a huge financial tragedy strikes. this will cause you to be absolutely dead broke for the next five years. since she has kids, you know that she needs someone who can be a good provider for her and for them. you also know that she loves you to the point that she'll never leave you or give up on you, no matter what happens. do you leave her for her own sake, as to not drag her and her kids through your problems, and encourage her to find someone better, or is there another way? is it selfish to stay with her?

Why do some women sell themselves short by working in jobs taking all of their clothes off in a room full of strange men? Many give the excuse that they do it to support their children ect...ect... do you think they have some real anger issues toward men by taking all their money and laughing all the way to the bank? There are alot of men out there that feel they cannot find a real relatiomship and believe that these women are really into them and give them their last dollar. I feel that our sisters in life that expose themselves give men the wrong impression about all women in general. How do other women feel when they work 9-5 jobs and worked hard on an education to get it and are still paying off student loans? Why are some women out there allowed to make top dollar with no education or experience? ......and boy do they defend their positions when confronted about what they are doing and getting away with. Just watch the replies I get from this question!

I have been married for 6 years and with him for 11 years. He is a great guy. The problem is that we work and go to school and only see eachother for about 2 hours a day. He is very buisness minded. I am bored and lonely. When we are together, we end up watching tv in seperate rooms and then go to bed. That is our 2 hours together. We never had anything in common, but that is what orignally drove us to eachother. I feel we never really had a intimate connection. We are more like best friends or roommates. Is this normal? I could leave and end up with somone terrible and he is a great guy, we just have no connection to eachother and never had. Were just to busy to know it. We have focus on our careers alot. I thought maybe if we tried to have a baby, that might strenghten that bond between us, but somedays I'm ready, other days I freak out at the thought of being commited to him for life. I love him, but in love with him, I don't know if that bond was ever there.

My ex-boyfriend has been sentenced to life in prison, with possibility for parol in twenty years. He was 16 when he committed the crime that put him there, 21 when he was finally sentenced, and is 22 years old now. He and I are still friends, and he has another girlfriend right now who is his age. She loves him deeply, but has recently been asking herself the inevitable question, "Can I really waste 20 years of my life on this?" So, she came to me and has been struggling with the decision, asking for advice, and all around breaking her own heart over this.

So, I wanted to gather a few more opinions. Would you wait, get on with your life, or what?
