The vows, "in sickness and in health, til death do us part" don't seem to hold the same weight as they once did (i.e. even Newt Gingrich served his wife divorce papers while she was in a hospital bed recovering from cancer). The only out clause seems to be "til death do us part" but it doesn't seem like people wait that long anymore. So why get married when no one really honors the vows anymore? And when did people stop honoring them (i.e. pick self-interest over honor)?

Does a spouse have a right to go elsewhere if s3xual needs are not met in a marriage? It seems that a lot of people have no qualms about having multiple affairs while married...Since it's so common, I would think that most married people believe that it's absolutely OK to do so?????

1) is it true?
2) both try to understand each other. But sometimes their chemistry is just not there, like they will misunderstand what each other is saying (i don't mean quarelling, but just not able to understand well)
3) if it is enough reason, why don't you and your good male\females friends whom you get along with get together?

Point blank~To the point.((LOL)).
I want sex with my new boyfriend. The chemistry is there.
He is the IT factor. When i ask, i want it to be super romantic with a wonderful setting. How can i woo him? He loves music, that would be a nice addition and plus. Any more suggestions to get us to a nice romantic setting, a warm feel of security. Something filled with sensual passion. Victoria's Secret or Frederick's Lingerie? Quiet candle lite dinner, or rosepedals of every color spreaded all over a bedroom? I am getting fuzzy just thinking about it. WOW. I can hardly wait! But i want to do it the right way.Getting over the first hump is always hard.
Then after the first step~ things will fall in place. & it wont be a problem to hook up with him every weekend. I will make it my priority and i will make sure that we have sex every weekend without a doubt + thereafter. I just need the good introduction method to start off something beautiful! He is amazing, he deserves good love.

If he was letting a woman rub all over him anywhere else it would be considered cheating. Why would this be any different just because the girls are paid? What do you think?

My cousin(female) who I care about is getting married today. At first I was glad about it. The guy is my roommate and he is in the Air Force, so I know he will be able to support her financially. However sometimes I get upset about the way he treats her. He treats her like a maid sometimes. He tells her to do everything while he watches TV. I believe that he loves her, but I can't help but feel like I need to say something to them, but I don't think it would be good of me. Any advice?

I am having a caribbean destination wedding in July 2008. Most of our guests will bet traveling from the United States and Europe. When should I send out my save-the-dates? And when would it be approrpriate to send out the wedding invitations? I've been told that you have to send both out earlier than usual when you have a destination wedding.

I have been trying to plan a surprise 40th for my hubby. The first banquet place sent paperwork to our home(i told them not to), he opened it. So i tried to plan a reunion with his college buddies that he hasn't seen from 1986. He would love that. Well i forgot to exit out of my email BEFORE i shut the laptop and he opened it...and once again discovered my plans. I was so upset, that i left the room to cool down. He came in to tell me he only saw the first few lines(i know thats BS)and that he really loved that i was doing that. That even if its not a surprise its still awesome. So i asked him who he'd like to see and he names an ex-girlfriend first. He says she is married now and i could invite her hubby. he says they were best buds. Thats all he wanted to see her for, that i believe, but he was insistent that i should ask her, she was on his top 5 of whom he'd like to see. I really don't want to host a get together/reunion with an ex-girlfriend..am i overeacting? its bugging me!

My sister and her husband have been married for 8 years. They are very happy and very much in love. They have 3 beautiful healthy children and a very good relationship. Last night when I went over to visit my mother, she confided in me that my sister's husband is actually her long lost father.
She told me that he felt so bad about not being in her life as a child, that he wanted to make up for all of the years that he lost out on. So he looked her up, fell in love with her and married her.
My mother has been hiding this secret all of this time. She felt like it was the right thing to do because my sister seemed so happy with him and he promised never to leave her again. Now the guilt is eating away at my mother. I don't know if I should tell my sister this news. She loves her husband/father very much and this would be a devistating blow to their relationship. Should I tell my sister that her husband is really her father??

My birthday is 7/5 and coming up soon and my wife wants to do something special for me. On July 4th, my parents want to take me to lunch because they know I'll be busy with the wife on the 5th. My wife is not happy with this because she would rather us be by out by the lake or by the river, doing something relaxing. She was so upset that she said she's gonna make plans with her friends to go to the lake or river while I go to lunch with my parents for my birthday, she also thinks July 5th should be the only day to celebrate it. I'd like to get everyone's opinion on this. Am I being selfish or is she being selfish?

My bf and I are together for seven years. He recently asked me to marry him but I am not certain if I should. He recently quit his private practice and joined a large corporation in order as he explained, we both can benefit from it. He failed to discuss anything with me about this merge ( I assume because I was skeptical about giving up his own business) including a three day trip with the new partners where spouses/girlfriends/boyfriends were not invited. After he joined and signed all the contract documents he was telling me that he did this for my benefit. But how could I benefit if we are not legally married??? What bothers me is, he ask me to get married after everything was done and the decision was made already, by himself ONLY. He also avoided to talk about any topic I wanted to talk about, and he does so until today. If I bring up something what bothers me, he ignores my question and instead of giving me an explanation he starts to talk about something else. It makes me angry and frustrated and I would say things I really don’t mean but he drives me with his ignorance and lack of communication to the edge.
I have worked very hard for this relationship to work, we had a lots of downs in the beginning because of his need to flirt everywhere he went. His previous marriage and relationships broke because of infidelity of both part and LACK OF COMMUNICATION. But he really changed in that aspect of infidelity. We love each other and I can’t imagine my life without him, but I don’t want to live in a relationship either where my need of communicating issues are being ignored.
Id rather us both be happy separate than miserable together I love him very much and wish we could get past this but I don't think that’s a realistic expectation. If anyone has any advice of any kind it would be appreciated. Thanks and have a great day!

a boring girl like me. I have trouble believing there will be a man who will love me and have a good chemistry with me. I am boring, don't have a strong sense of humor, not a great listener or conversationist, not especially talented, training to be a chemical engineer. I am above average looking but short and petite. I am having problems keeping relationships and interest last, even with girlfriends. I am so boring. Please help

I have been with this guy for a while now and i would never doubt that he loves me but when i had to go to my sisters in tennesee for a month he broke it off and said that when i get back we can get back together he let me keep the ring and told me it was going to be okay. When i talked to him after that he never said i love you anymore and when i asked him about it he said that he begged me not to go and i explained to him that if i could have stayed i would have and he was a little upset that i didn't stay for him but he told me not to worry anymore that he doesn't love me because he does i just don't know if i should stay because if he really loved me and didn't plan on cheating on me wouldn't he have stayed together with me when i left
