Personally, I don't care. It does not affect me in any way so I see it as whatever floats your boat...

It's all opinions anyway, right?
I am for people being happy. Not everything that makes people happy is right. For instance, some people get their kicks by vandelizing peoples property. Sorry, that isn't right in any sense of the word.
I do understand gays wanting to have relationships that are more than just dating. I just don't feel that gays should be joined in marriage. I'll not use any religious beliefs. That is for each person to figure out on their own. The biggest problem I have with it is the raising of children. How can it be considered normal for a small child to have two dads or two moms? When the school has to call home for a sick child and they ask to speak to the childs mother named, say, Mary. Mary isn't there and the person at school ask to whom they are speaking. The person at home then says "I'm Jill, Jakes other mom." Sorry......that doesn't fly with me.
Gays can talk all they want about rasing children the "right" way. So, are they raising them to be gay, or straight? Who really knows? What do the kids really, really see in their parents that are gay? What must they endure from their peers because of the parents decisions? Anyone else think that a kid may have it a little rough on the football field when "both" his dads show up to cheer on little junior? Guessing that doesn't go over to well. I predict pain, anger, frustration, blood, and possible medical bills in the future for that kid.
For the record. I'm not a hater of any type. Just looking at what I feel is something wrong.
You asked, I answered.

Austin, some people are just morons. Did anyone actually read the question? He's only 13 and not gay. And he's not getting married anytime soon. Maybe you have an uncle or cousin who is or maybe you've simply heard alot of the media talking about it. Either way, the marriage of 2 people (whether or not they're gay or mormon or wiccan, etc) is a decision that only they can make. To bash them for getting what they want is small-minded and envious to the point of being unhealthy and most certainly an unattractive characteristic. Bottom line is this: Who am I to tell them whether or not they should be married. So as I step down off my soapbox, my answer is "no".

I dont think its wrong, Im not gay but i have gay friends. Personally I dont have a problem with it, they are in committed relationships and are faithful to their partners and marriage, my straight friends have cheated or are cheating on there boy/girlfriend or husbands or wives. Straight people fail at marriage statistically more than gay couples so what do i care if they want to try it let them they are in love and want to marry same sex people so what i dont sleep with them so i dont care, actually more power to them for being that committed and doing what makes them happy.

One's sexual preference is none of my business. Marriage, however is defined:
"...as being a relationship between a man and a woman which courts have tended to define in terms of biological sex rather than assumed gender identity. While some states have expressed a willingness to consider allowing individuals of the same gender to enter into civil unions, the general trend is against according such relationships the cultural and religious "legitmacy" implicit in the monogamous version of marriage."

If marriage is not necessary between boy and a girl why bother about a marriage between gays.

I believe "marriage" needs to be left out of the governments hands. I think that "civil unions" can be granted by the government, but marriage should be something between the Church and the couple.

I don't thingk it is. Everyone has a right to be happy regardless of sexual preference. I think that if people would just mind their own business things would be a lot better...not sayin that u dontmind ur business. And also, i dont think that they should try to base things on what the "bible" says because all people don't believe in GOD.

I don't think that it is wrong at all. I believe that everyone deserves to be married and reap the many benefits of being married like tax breaks and so forth.

If you don't believe in same-sex marriage, here's a tip - DON'T MARRY SOMEONE OF THE SAME SEX. DUH. But, just let other people live their lives. I'm not gay either, but what do I care if gay people get married? Let them be tortured with marriage just like straight people have to be. haha.

I think that we don't have the right to judge anyone for being a loving, committed relationship ~ whether it be gay or straight.
