I was at my locker and one of my best guy friends came behind me and yelled that through the rush of people.....so I don't know what to think....if he meant that as "I like you as a friend" or more than that......he does flirt with me a lot but still I'm not sure what he meant by it

It's the same as saying, "you're the cream in my coffee" or the "icing on my cake." You make something better for him when you're with him. It means he likes you and wants to get to know you better. Imagine a pizza without cheese. It would be horrible. You're someone who really adds something good to his life.

I think it means you make him feel good (or complete) like a pizza isn't a pizza without the cheese.I think he's trying to say he can't live without you! =)
