Not all are. If you own nothing, are agreeable on what you do share together..ie, children, furniture, pets, vehicles...you can go to your local courthouse and file and it costs about $125. It's the marriages that have accumulated property and bank accounts that run up high court costs and attorney fees. My Ex was an adulterer from the start, 20 years later he remained so, after all was said and done he was ordered to give me half of all the marital assets. In his way of thinking, I didn't deserve half, maybe 15% to get me started on a new life, so 3 years into the divorce the judge says enough is enough and I walked away with 50%. It cost my brother $2,500 for pictures alone at his only daughters wedding, before the print was totally dry on the pictures she walked away from the marriage (she burned all the wedding pictures BTW) because she wanted children and he didn't and he didn't tell her he had had an irriversable vasectomy done a week before the wedding. People say trust is the number 1 ingrediant in a marriage, communication is 2nd, I think most couples marry for love/lust. If it was as hard (expensive) to get married as it is to divorce there would be a lot more thought going into one than there is today. I was married twice and divorced twice. In all honesty, I was too young and in love/lust the first time (5 years) and to scared and afraid of my own abilities raising 2 children on my own the second time even though we were married 20 years.

well seems if Kim is a little gold digger. Now i truly like my dog better than people. Lawyers aren't cheap. The actual divorce really only cost in most cases around $100. that's for fee's and paper basically. The rest is for the attorney to appear in front of a judge. sucks does it? Now that why attorney jokes are always funny. They are blood suckers from the deepest oceans. Mine was over 12k and i lost everything although she commited adultry. i had a lot of proof including the tapes. but that what you get. they are normally just about a hand shake and that's it.
