We are changing and growing up as long as we live, and sometimes our friends grow in different directions. Treasure the love and good times you had and move on. Don't resort to name calling, gossip, and silly games. You don't need to lower yourself to that nonsense. When you hear of something unkind that she has said, just say "How silly, I can't imagine why she said that. We used to be really close friends you know." and let it go at that. That will tell whoever you are talking to that you don't care to engage in that kind of nonsense. Change the subject, and make new friends.

Something similiar to that happened to me once a few years ago. I would just ignore it and move on. Don't worry about what she tells other people about you. If they're friendly with you they shouldn't believe her. If some people were already against you, what's the difference? They're still against you. Seriously, that situation won't affect you for the rest of your life. It will be over and gone with within a quick matter of time.

I had one of those! if you cant totally ignore her, I would move. Theyll arrest me for anything else.....Or you can just confront her. Bullys are basically gutless at heart. Threaten her with defamation. Get someone to send a letter regarding this. She back off if she has half a brain.

sadly there's not much you can do, I would just move on, ignore the lies. you don't have to defend your self when there's nothing to defend. she sounds like she was hurt a lot by you dissing your freindship with her. and she's angry. this too will pass.
