I am wishing there was a clear answer to this question, because I could sure use it right now, too! Unfortunately, we are not perfect and we cannot really guarantee anything in this life. I am sure it wasn't intentional, but this person does owe it to you to get things right. In my case, it is the second time, so it isn't so easy to trust and believe in him anymore. Good luck, depend on only yourself and try to keep your chin up...it's all we can do.

Accept that they don't love you as much as you love them. If by letting you fall you mean tough love or teaching you a good lesson, then that's sometimes necessary. But if by that you mean that you were really down and needed them to help, and they turned their back, then you have to evaluate the situation and consider that they are not the person you thought they were. It's all about accepting reality. What's real in this relationship? You can love this person more than anything else, but is it a healthy relationship for you?

You just admit to yourself that you have been wrong. And you stop doing everything they asked because no matter what you will never be able to make someone loves you who doesn't love you in the first place. That person just did you a favor, he obviously didn't love you at all. So learn from the experience and next time, don't let anybody tell you what to do.
Good luck

If you done all that you can it is time for a change. Move on without this person. Life is full of disappointments and sometimes the ones you love the most often hurt you the most.

They let you crash and fall? I don't understand. Were you expecting them to hold you up? When you do something for someone else (.."done everything you can, everything that was asked..") you do it because you want to, not because you expect reciprocation.

You are a bit vague~ so sorry if this doesn't pertain to exactly what you are getting at.
We are all human, imperfect little beings. When you hold someone up tremendously high on whatever pedestal, they are bound to eventually let you down.
Keep your expectations reasonable, and that is all anyone can really do.

You pick yourself up & move on. Find someone you can rely on. You don't want to spend your life with a person who only takes but never gives. Trust me.

There is only one thing to do.
It is to stand up. Stop looking for someone else to save you and find your own feet. Pull yourself up. Dust yourself off. And realize that you can never, ever "love one person more than life itself".
You need to take better care of yourself.
Be strong. It is in you. It is in all of us, it is just hard to find sometimes.

Your first mistake was loving this person more than life itself.....Now, get a backbone and learn to handle your life AS ONE.

You pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and say "They weren't WORTHY of me ANYWAY!!!"
Then you move on. Even though its hard at first, it gets easier--and it happens thousands of times every day, so know that you aren't alone!
