Has that time come to bid my sweet of heart friends, a pleasant good night?
Those who do not know me, and would like to issue an offensive comment to the GOODWILL, with which I ask of the "others", please do not respond. Reason being, through perhaps sloppy manners you'd try to make a travesty of my intended "good night, AND Bless you!"

My co-worker's birthday is coming up and I am looking for ladies opinion on a good birthday gift. She is pretty cool, fun, modern, and into fashion. I want to get her something nice, but am unsure as I don't want to go overboard, and yet don't want to give something very paltry either (she has become a good friend). Would a gift card to a clothing store be appropriate? How much should I spend tops? Does anyone know if there are gift items at Bed/Body works shop (should I even venture there for a gift for her?) I am open to ANY suggestion. Thank you!

She is my friend, but she's seriously a slob. I can barely walk on the floor sometimes and it's driving me nuts. I knew she was a slob before she moved in, but I didn't know it would always be this much of a mess. She has 2 kids and one of them has special needs and she works full-time, but she should be able to find some time to clean. We are both on the lease and I can't afford to rent this place by myself nor do I have anyone else to rent it. What should I do?

my housemate and me get along really well. but he just send me an email through to my work email complaining about stuff around the house. Such as not covering up food with glad wrap when I put it in the fridge, buying him another jar of mustard, not to use his shampoo, etc which is fair enough requests I guess. But whenever I talk to him about stuff I always make sure we talk in person and that I'm as diplomatic as possible. I called him up and told him it really upset me that he put it in an email. That it shows he has no respect for me and its a cowards way of expressing how he feels and I would never do that to him. Then he goes "oh I get so scared to say things to your face coz you might blow up at me" I'm 24 and he's 29.

I've house shared for nearly 7 years now. I understand communication is the most important thing as well as tolerance.

Do you think I'm being unreasonable? Is it acceptable to talk out differences via email?

Or am I just old school at ripe old age of 56?
My old man had me shaking hands when I was six.
He was real big on that.
Nothing worse than squishy weak handshake.

....you have to be offline for a bit, and you return to find that the person who gave a stupid, maybe even unkind answer to your question is the one who gets the ten points. Why on earth do people vote for those inane one liners?

I have this neighbor that lives underneath me. He plays his music really and it vibrates through the floor. It wouldn't be that bad except all you can hear is the bump bump from the base. I don't mind the music usually except every now and then he plays it at like one in the morning and wakes me up. He is normally drunk when he plays it so I wouldn't feel safe confronting him. He has a really nice girlfriend and a toddler. However, he is extremely rude.
Also, all the time I hear him yelling at his girlfriend calling her stupid and telling her she's a bad mother (which she is not). I'm not close friends with the girlfriend, but one or our other neighbors babysits the kid and I am close to them. The baby really likes me and is always running up to me. I feel bad for the girlfriend.
The guy is really mean he even threatened to kill my cat if it came near his kid. The baby loves cats and plays with mine when he isn't around. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with this?

For example, it is probably ok to ask someone who looks in their 20s their age, but maybe it is rude to ask someone who looks in their 40s.

Does this also depend on the askers age ?

Are the rules different between men and women ?

I lived on campus in a four bedroom two bathroom apartment. I had three roommates. Two of them are sisters and never took out the trash. I called a roommate meeting with the RA and one of the sister tried to fight me calling a meeting with the RA. The RA made a schedule for us to take out the trash by weeks. I followed the schedule. My other roommate is never there, and the two sisters took out the trash one time during each of their weeks. When the next time came the trash was over flowing because one of the sisters had only taken it out one time during the week. She finally took it out and left a note one my door saying I never took out the trash and her and her sisters were the only one to take it out. I don't know if the sisters are picking with me or if they have a mental problem because I took out the trash for my whole week.I told the director I wanted to move to an apartment with one roommate. Now I have two bedrooms and my own bathroom. My rent went from 278.00 to 420.00.

How do you feel about cellphones going off during class or lecture in college?

I find it very very rude and annoying. The worst is not the people whose cellphone goes off accidently once in a blue moon. It's the people who constantly have their cellphones go off. It's like they time their own phones or specifically ask people to call them during class so that they can fee 'cool' when their ringtone starts playing. And then they blush a bit and say "oh my bad" as if they never expected it to happen. Even though it happens to them every day!!!

Even worse is when you have a guest speaker talking and keep hearing low beeping noises because the people in front of you are frantically writing text messages to someone on the other side of the room. Like honestly, next time why don't you just skip school and go chat with your friend instead.

SO RUDE!!

Today I got in to a fight because a girl had spit in my face after we had a argument together. So after she spit in my face I had slaped her and all these girls came out of no where and started holding me down so the other girl could start kicking me in my stomach. I am really pissed off because spiting in someone's face is the most direspectful thing you could do to a humanbeing. I told my mom and she told me not fight the girl because fighting doesn't solve anything. Also this was after school fight and it wasn't on the school grounds What should I do?

...Like when you get your tray of food and everyone in line stares at your tray as you walk by. It gets on my nerves for some reason. I'm not hiding anything (I don't get an abnormally small or large amount of food. I'm not bulimic or obese). Is it a primal instinct (protective of food)? Or is it a signal of a mental problem? I don't mind eating with people who are looking at my food at the same table, it's just people walking past that look at my food who get on my nerves.

I recently started a job as a server at a local restraunt. I've had no previous experience, but always imagined I'd end up doing it sooner or later since I enjoy people so much. I like the atmosphere and my coworkers. My customers are usually nice, but I've been getting very frustrated because it seems no matter how hard i work it seems people will never appreciate me enough to give me gratuity that would be worth my while. I'm not doing anything wrong and for the most part i enjoy my customers and likewise. Just was wondering what some folks thought about tipping. I just feel degraded and unappreciated after getting stiffed at lunch today and getting around 10 dollars after a $120 total bill for lunch. I get paid $2.13 an . I work hard, keep glasses full. make recommendations and keep a nice conversation going. just wanted some input and maybe some sympathy :-P... I just feel like its criminal becuz we also have sidework and alot of responsabilities besides customers.. ty..

I was recently in hospital for three weeks, then spent several more weeks recovering at my parents’ house. While I was away I told a friend she could stay at my apartment.
When I moved back, I found: white towels dyed pink, things broken or missing, private files on my computers had been accessed, she had invited guests over that I didn’t know, the place smelled of cigarette smoke and things like food, soap, shampoo etc had been used up and not replaced. No offer was made to help with the cost of replacing everything, which was more than I could afford as I had to leave my job due to my illness. When I told her I was moving back, she told me it would be easier for her if I stayed with my parents for another week, which I thought extremely rude.
She was good to me while I was in hospital but now I’m out, I’ve heard almost nothing from her. It seems that now she isn’t getting anything from me (like a free place to stay), she doesn’t want to know me. How do I deal with this gracefully?

I was given a beautiful diamond ring from my boyfriend for a birthday gift. There was never a proposal, he called it a "ring, ring" Although I took it as an engagement ring, our relationship never furthered. I continued to see him (we never lived together) but I always thought we would be living together soon. Shortly after the ring was given, he told me within a year we would live together, that never happened. I felt like the ring was on my finger just to keep other men away. I loved this boyfriend, but when he was dishonest with me, and I found out, I took the ring off and we split for a few weeks. We got back together for another year or so, but he never tried to make our situation right, the only one who gave it any effort was me. So we ended up splitting, this time for good. Now he wants the ring back. Should I give it to him, or keep it because it was a birthday gift without a proposal?

As my sister is expecting I have been staying with her as helping hand.My in-law is behaving with me nastily. He unnecessarily touches me spanks my butts, pinches belly. whenever I go to him he moves my Saree away off tummy and twists his finger in my navel as if making fun. He keeps talking with his hand on my bare tummy caressing everywhere and other hand on my butts.
He finds a chance to lay on my lap when we all sit for some thing like playing cards. there he keeps caressing my inner thigh in presence of my sister and his brother. Some times his hand goes close to *** while he explores my thighs.
One day in his garden,to collect fruits from height he lifted me and positioned me to sit on his shoulders with legs on either side of his head, keeping his hands on my butts. While I was collecting fruits, he kept caressing and pressing my bum. Once done he made me upside down with his face between my thighs.
my sister doesnt see it as offensive.
I want to return home as this is growing more and more difficult but my sister needs my assistance.
How to deal the situation?
