Sounds like they were just spoiled and lazy... You could have stayed and ignored them, but, then other things would have cropped up, and you'd have felt uncomfortable.
Perhaps next semester, you can room in with 3 others, with whom you are already friends.
It's hard living with strangers, and people will always do things which get on our nerves. You will have to figure out, which is the small stuff you can overlook, and what is a major issue.

I think you have to ask yourself are you happier now that you have your own bedroom and bathroom you can now pick up after yourself and the other roommate can do the same thing.
They probabaly had their mother doing everything for them and they had to do nothing for themselves. You can not be everyones mother but it sounds like you either helped you mother alot around the house or had much more
responsibility the those other girls.
hope this helps. good luck.
You should in the future get your own trash container and put it in your room then you can empty your trash and your roommate can empty hers and there will be no conflicks about schedules.

This issue is not about trash, but about respect.
They obviously didn't respect you and I would not continue living with them.
If you can afford the rent, continue but if you want to save a bit, share with a FRIEND or person you know. That way you could be more comfortable.
Don't fret, you did the right thing. If you stayed and lept picking up after them, they'd never learn.
They're probably wondering what happened now that their trash is piling up :P

Well you could be the bigger person and take it out any time you see it getting full, or what I would do is dump it in you roomate who was suppose to take it outs bed and say here you go trash is full and its your week. Or if you want to be nicer than I am you could just get your own trash can and then you would only have to worry your own trash.

Stop looking back and wondering "should have, could have, might have." You did what you did. End of discussion, and wondering about whether or not you did the right thing is useles. You've already done it -- why question it now? You can't undo it, can you? And would you want to? You no longer have a roommate problem -- isn't that nice?
Yes, your roommates were slobs. If that was the worst thing that they did, frankly, I think you might have overreacted. I'd have probably just bought a bigger trashcan. :-)

You did good by moving. Now they have to deal with their own trash instead of having a live in maid (you).

its trash.....not even a issue, you magnified the problem by dwelling on it. You still are.
Once you hit the real world you will wish trash was your only problem.
