The woman looks like she worked at a jack in the box during the 1980's, would it be best to just talk to her or issue a department dress code for meetings with vendors? Should I offer a clothing allowence?

My office is located just below that of a Pediatritian. Because there are moms coming in and out with their kids, I am accustomed to seeing mothers bring their sons into the bathroom with them, as they are generally too young to go unaccompanied.

Just a couple of minutes ago, I was in the ladies room, and when I opened the stall door, a young boy who was at least 10 years old went walking past me. His mother was standing by the sink waiting for him.

My question is, isn't that a bit too old for you to be bringing your son with you into the ladies room? He was clearly old enough to use the men's bathroom on his own.

This is especially bothersome when you're the one stuck behind the fool who decides to slam on the brakes to pull this crap.
Typically, the only people who do this illogical maneuver are idiots wanting to show off their cars or people of a certain minority race in this country.

Sometimes after school my brother goes to my cousins house. My mum is not really keen on these particular people and I feel she has reason too, but I stay polite with them. Well today my brother decided to go their house, so I decided to got too for some stupid reason . They were quite pleasant and they gave me food but the girls' conversation was quite inane (clothes, clothes clothes ahhhh!!!). I wanted to leave because I felt guilty my mum was alone at home waiting for me, whilst I was with these people she doesn't like too much. I made my excuses and was about to leave, but my brother (18) told me to stay because my dad could pick me up on the way home from work. I didn't want to do this because I just wanted to get away and I enjoy the walk by myself and I was feeling really guilty by now. But my brother made me give him my phone so he could ring my dad and arrange for him to pick me up in like 30-40 mins, when I could walk home in 15 mins. He was being really bossy. Im 16 btw

Our family received an invitation to a friend's wedding. We're accepting with four people.

The invitation looks like this:

.........................................

Kindly respond by November 1

M ___________

__ Accept with Pleasure
__ Decline with regrets

.........................................

What do you write after M? Do you add the proper ending, i.e. Mr / Mrs, or do you leave it M Last Name?

Before "Accept," do you mark, or do you write the number attending?

Thanks :)

Why is it stupid people with no life ask why you are not married or when is the big day? My 3 brothers and I in our late 30s to 40s are not married or do not choose to get married. My parents were married 40 years and everyone assumes we will get married as well.
Why don't people mind their own business.

My Comeback is: We are a gay family. Haven't you heard 4 kids are all gay? Then they just leave in shock.

His mole is huge and it's right in the middle of his forehead. I feel really bad for him but it looks like a third eye and I find myself avoiding him so I don't have to look at it. Besides, I get confused, I'm never sure know what "eye" to look at while I'm talking to him.

When I look back on my many jobs, I remember things that bosses asked me to do...like...

* Buy a mens magazine for him because he wanted to check out some famous celeb but would not be seen going into a adult book store

* Sent to the store to buy Midol for HER

* Sent to a gay owned carwash because he heard they did a great job but did NOT want to be seen there

So what have your past and present bosses asked you to do ?

This Yahoo Answer is a great platform
where we can ask for support / help ..

But why are no body willing to Help / support / answer almost any body with .....more time , detailed answers .....Do u think Answers for Critical questions are just one liners and two liners ?

We should spare time....our answers can really make difference to so many peoples lives ..if we are sincere

In fact when we answer other people's Questions -fully and complet4ely -we will be able to answer questions of our own life

Others are nothing but our own selves

we are all infact ....projectiosn of same soul
..i fee so some times

Dont u think we should give sufficient time to our answers .....to others questions ??

I consider my land lady my friend and I am extremely greatful for her for taking me and my family in. She just returned from a month-long hospital stay out-of-state to diagnose her illness. She's on medication that doesn't sit well with her so she's ill all the time. Obviously food is out of the question. I don't think I want to get ther flowers either. Not only are they a little impersonal, but the smell may make her sick. My "thing" has always been angels. I get everyone I love one for most holidays. Is a special engraved angel ornament or an angel pin appropriate? Faith isn't an issue as far as offending her.... Any other suggestions? How do I get it to her without making her feel like she has to come out and greet me? (She pretty much stays home.)

I have a co-worker in a finance dept who continously addresses my boss and I as "both" in her e-mails. It can get annoying, but then again her whole message has typos and very bad grammer. She is from Vietnam so I don't know if that may have something to do it. But I wanted to know if I should address her and let her know I would prefer her to use my name and my boss' name instead of "both".

Did *anyone* think they were a good idea? Now, thong underwear and swimwear; fine, no problem.

But lycra shorts and then a thong leotard on top? Why??

Were they actually comfortable? (Fortunately, I'm too young to have actually worn such an outfit...)

P.S. Have I got the time period right? I think the fashion started in the mid 80s and died out in the early 90s?

Yesterday she pulled me into her office to accuse me of stealing food (and the day before that I was written up because my hair was still wet and the day before that for not wearing hose--I work in a cublcle typing all day, I do not deal with customers, etc) and today she comes to me and says so how are you TODAY (all caps because thats what she emphasized) to which I said I am just fine TODAY (emphasizing same word) to which she said I need to see you in my office NOW. In her office she stood so close to me I could see her mascara clumps and told me that if my attitude continued she was going to write me up, that it was unprofessional and subordinate. Then she turned her back to me, opend the door and said end of conversation--and raised her eyebrow, waiting. Didn't trust myself to say anything so I nodded, to which she said, a nod isnt going to do it, saying I understand would be appropriate. So I growled I understand and she says, as I am walking back to my desk..

Thing is this, whenever you go to a restaurant or movie theater or anywhere really, there's always parents with a kid or two, and they're always screaming or just simply annoying the heck out of someone that's nearby, why do we never do something?, why is it that we're suppose to just put up with it when we're there to have a good time, a nice relaxing meal or watch a movie?, why is it that any maitre d' is a lot more likely to ask you to keep it down because of your mobile than because of a screaming kid?, why do parents never do anything about it?, they only sort of smile at you like saying "what a mess, huh?, but well kids will be kids, i suppose you'll just have to run back home and change your shirt, sorry about the "whatever" my kid spilled on you", and that just doesn't cut it, don't you think?, so tell me friends, who's robbed us of our reason?, why do we put up with this?, why do some people expect us to do so without complain?, why can't you have a nice quiet meal anymore?

When I show respect for a boss or an instructor, I am considered one of the following:

1) Brown noser or butt kissing
2) Goody two shoes

Why is showing respect to higher authority such a CRIME?!

A good and standard tip is no longer 15% it is 20%
Gratuity is to make sure the waiter gets tipped fairly...not to punish you.

Waiters wait on 7-10 tables at one time...so be patient ...especially if you are a 15% person.

I personallly never leave a tip under $5. Thats just bad business.

And if you are kind to thenthey will be kind to you.

you are there guest and like any bad guest...you will be asked to not come back via bad service.

Okay, a couple weeks ago I bought my girlfriend of 8 months a christmas gift- a three stone diamond ring that was intended to be a christmas gif NOT an engagement ring, even though she kind of wanted one. Anyway, being as nosy as she is, she soon got us into the store that i had bought it at and tried vitually every piece of jewelery on, of course including the one i bought. Obviously she didnt know it, but the one I bought she said her supervisor at work already had and she said it would look better on her though but it wasnt one of the rings she was very excited about. What do I do now? Exchange it for one she really wanted? Go with a whole different ring she didnt see? She knows it wont be an engagement ring, I'm only 20 and I'm not ready to make that mistake yet, but I was so excited about this gift ( I spent 1500 dollars on it) now i think it was a mistake and I dread christmas coming. I dont know what to do.
