A family member calls mostly to brag about
money and trips they take, this is a wealthy
family and knows full well that others in the
family dont have that kind of money.
This has been going on for years and I think
this is a case of them having nothing eles to
talk about, but week after week, it has been
"old" for a long time. What are some suggestions
I could use to curb the bragging without seeming rude? Thanks.

Just as smoothly as they lie about you right while you're standing there. How do I do it? It will help me grow and do well in my job.

My son and his g/f and me, too...we step all over the place, people spit, my son's g/f works in a nursing home, my son works with folks all over the world, I do home health care...my shoes and theirs and have been everywhere...bathrooms, parking lots...that crap on their shoes and mine - why not ask them to take of their shoes before they come in? I don't want that crap in my house...think about where the bottom of your shoes have been...you want that in your house? In your kitchen? Bathroom? Why can't we be like the Japanese, don't wear shoes in the house? Do they have staph? We have a jillion immigrants everywhere...hillbillies, meth folks...they are spitting to show they are men and we step in it when we go to stores or gas stations and then we walk in our house...what is wrong with asking people to take off their shoes before they come into my house? Oh, also...my folks could have stepped in some old man's pee that he left behind at a store...take off your shoes?

Traditionally we give gifts to our coaches at the end as a means to thank them for their hard work and dedication throughout the season.
In the past we just spread the news by word of mouth, but I'm writing a short note and providing them an envelope to enclose the money-- I have a general idea of what i would like to say, but if anyone can make any improvements or better suggestions i would really appreciate it! Thank you!

As a thank you gift for all of Coach X and Y's hardwork and dedication this season, we have decided to give them a gift card to Z. Please enclose $8 dollars in the provided envelope and return to A or B as soon as possible. Thank you!

I recently went to see Billy Ray Cyrus in concert. While performing he kept making remarks to the audience like "stand up" and "Are you all afraid to stand up" because people weren't standing up. Most every concert I've ever been too, I've been prepared to stand. But at this one the performer was wanting everyone to stand and no one would. I just don't understand this. It was an indoor concert, not a huge arena. The hall maybe seated 300 people and every seat was taken. I realize this was a small audience for him, but the way I see it is - he was giving his all to perform, you'd think people would stand up and cheer and act glad that he is there. As it was, he really didn't interact much with the audience and I think that is probably why his show was not very long. Whats the best concert etiquette? In a situation like that is better to motivate the audience by standing and cheering? What would you do?

My cousin is getting married today and I didn't want to come to the wedding. I had my brother tell the other relatives and my cousin that I had to work, so they wouldn't it hurt their feelings. I really don't believe in marriages and I don't like going to weddings.

I need to write a resignation letter as I want to leave my current job. I have been there 2 years so know all the staff well and get along in the role but just feel I wish to move on.

I will be handing the letter in for my manager tho and will probably speak to her anyways. Do I still need to write it formally with addresses, Dear ... , yours truly, and all those things. If so how should I lay it out?

How long should a letter be?

My daughter is turning 11, and having a lot of friends over. She really doesn't want anything (besides a cat, LOL) and she was fine with the suggestion for people to bring "toys for tots" unwrapped toys to donate before Christmas to the toys for tot charity.
How can I word this without being offensive? Is it wrong to ask for a specific gift? If you received this invitation, would you feel you are being "forced" to give to charity? I want to make sure people know that they can bring a gift if they want, but also to make the option of the donation to charity. Suggestions, or should I just say nothing to be more polite?

I have noticed that I am missing some of my panties. I am not sure if one of my roommates (Male & female) is stealing them or someone at my gym or my boyfriend. I am missing about 9 pairs over the last 6 months. How can I find this person?

to bite your tongue or say what's on your mind. I feel that anytime you bite your tongue, you're letting someone get away with using you.

I am quite new to my job as a PA/receptionist (been there a month and a half) and part of my duties is to open the door to visitors but on Friday I went upstair to the sales department to ask about people's attendances (as that is another duty) and apparantly the door buzzed and while I was busy doing attendances a collegue who is much older than me and has a higher position walked past me and while repeatedly pressing her finger into my shoulder said something like "There are people downstairs wanting to come in" as she went to answer the door. I was unfortunately underslept as well as startled this, especially the physical contact so I did nt really respond to this but I have to do something about this, please advice. What would you do if you were in the same situation (bearing in mind I am new, a girl in a male-orientated company and the youngest. Leaving for me is not an option as I want to stay there, atleast for a year.

I live in a one bedroom apartment with my husband and daughter. Despite going to college I don't earn enough to move to a bigger place. I have to think about the cost of everything I buy even down to toilet paper. I thought by now I would be living the American Dream. Why can't I just be happy with getting by?

no one was around.....

£20.00 on the floor...

Then you are near the check out and you can see someone checking their pockets taking their things back of the conveyor belt and trying to find the money that they dropped.

What would you do, there are no right or wrong answers, I just want to know?

For example, a bag of marbles. It's just lying there, no owner in site, three marbles in a very nice bag that is obviously from the gift shop downstairs. Do you bring it to lost and found? Or claim it as your own?

When I left my tray on the table at a food court, a friend of a fellow employee took it upon himself to remove my tray and say to me " don't you consider other people who may want to sit there? My answer was that they hire people to do that job and if you do it then they might be laid off. As in a restaurant, the "bus boy" removes the dishes. Do you remove your dirty dishes in a restaurant ? No...........then why do it here? I'm sure in a restaurant other people are waiting to be seated. So my question is .....why behave differently in a food court than you would in a restaurant.

Tonight I received a facebook reply from someone I had done something wrong to ten years ago. His letter included the phrase "I accept your apology with reservation."

Seriously. It feels great, and I can always get all the itchy areas adequately. Does anyone else do this? If not, you should try it---if you have a back that itches frequently, as does mine.
