I don't want to lose my temper and start being "snippy" or worse, run away to cry someplace no one can see me. *rolls eyes*

its not a question of what you say, its more how you react. if you show that what is said gets to you, they continue. if you ignore the comments, change the subject ...etc, (course you may have to do this alot, since some people never catch on). they tend to give up...do this especially if this person enjoys doing this in front of people.

in situations like this, by acting as if ignorance is bliss, this shows that you have class...!

good luck

Actions speak louder than words. The best thing for you to do is smile nicely, say nothing, and move away from them as quickly as possible. Don't react to anything they say or do. Maintain your demeanor and eventually it won't bother you what they say or do.

Just be as kind and polite as you are with everyone else, acknowledge them and help them out if you can. Then you can be happy in the knowledge that you are doing no wrong and they are the one with the problem and not you.
Stay positive and keep smiling!

keep a poker face.....dont show any emotions towards that person, no reaction when they come in the room, no reaction when they say hello, goodbye...nothing....do not get mad, just nothing towards them.
