Yeah. It's like you bump onto someone you know at the cinema or the supermarket, and they ask "what are you doing here?"

This question is strange! There are good accidents. I had several. I once fell over, didn't hurt myself but did find 100 pounds in the gutter just when I was in need of a new pair of shoes. And when I lost my engagement ring, I knew I had lost it in the sink while washing my hands (I had lost some weight).

I like when people talk about looking for lost items and say "it's always in the last place you look"...as if you will look more places once you find it. I can't stand the way some people will start off with "I hate to be rude, but...." and then will say something rude,if they hated it so much they wouldn't be rude in the first place.

It is always the last place you looked is a silly one. If you found it already why would you keep looking? Or when you fall down and hurt yourself and people ask if you are okay.

I get annoyed when I'm doing something obvious (like reading, watching television, etc) and someone else comes along and asks what I'm doing. I have to fight back the urge to say "Hello! What does it look like I'm doing??"

A man lying in a pool of blood< "Are you all right mate?"
Was it a bad heart attack? After you have cracked your head on a low doorway, " Oh did that hurt?"

My favourite is when you hear a mum say to a naughty child "do you want a slap" I mean there's not a child in the world who'll say yes.

when you split up with someone others want to know if you dumped them or they dumped you. it seems better to them if you did the dumping but they would think the same if you were to blame for a car crash! people get hurt in both situations

Someone finds you reading the newspaper, looks over shoulder & asks, is that today's paper? as if they haven't got a glimpse of the date.

Lol! Yes, people do often say silly things, haha. I think we really don't think before we speak...But hey, you know, if nobody said funny things, then there would be no reason to ponder it.
