This may sound like a totally odd-ball question, but considering some of the odd-ball people in my family, I just wanted to avoid a possibly embarassing situation. A relative of mine (who is 89 years old) is recovering from a surgery, and is in the hospital. The surgery was about two weeks ago. A surprise party for this person will be held in a 'special room' in the hospital tomorrow. Is there some remote chance that someone could hire a stripper for this party? Would it even be allowed? If so, I will be totally embarassed, since I'll be stuck there in that room from 1pm until about 3:30 pm. Serious responses only.

I live in the US

On one hand, I want to do nothing just like he did for me. I also want to go all out and make a big fuss. For the same childish reason. What would you all do?

Just wondering how many people out there are like this. Do you try to treat people right when playing partners in card games or do you cheat everytime you get a chance? What about in life...do you treat your neighbor like yourself or would you take advantage of an unfair situation?

People blowing smoke in front of others who don't smoke can be really rude. However, why it is considered so bad when the smoker avoids smoking near other persons? Tar is bad for your lungs, the same way alcohol is bad for your liver and fast food is bad for your heart and not that many complain about that. I don't suppourt smoking, although it is annoying how some people insult smokers and then get drunk in the middle of a party degrading themselves.

My friend's child has eight godparents, and I am one of them. The baptism (Catholic) is coming up, and there will be a reception afterwards for 60+ family and friends. What should I bring/give?

That there are several women who havent shave down there and its very noticable; is that apporiate for the water park scene, specially when you have children walking around the place and of course your typical nasty men also.

My boyfriends good friends are having a party tonight and I'm going with him. The thing is I'm really pretty shy and I know that he will leave me at some point and mingle and be with his friends. Does anyone have any tips that will make me feel more comfortable about mingling by myself for a while and making conversation?

thanks !!

oh and it's fine with me that my bf will be off with his friends and such I'm not upset about it or anything just nervous since I'm shy..

thank you!

Both good and bad about this guy. He is dragging mud into the house but he is also on the roof working in a pretty heavy rain. Not the most friendly guy I've ever had either. What do you think and if yes how much?
