Both good and bad about this guy. He is dragging mud into the house but he is also on the roof working in a pretty heavy rain. Not the most friendly guy I've ever had either. What do you think and if yes how much?

If he hasn't fallen off of your roof, and broke his neck yet - you may not have to call an ambulance.
If he has, don't give him any funny ideas to sue you later on.

If I were you I wouldn't tip him, especially if he's tracking dirt (mud & poopage) into your home.
I did that for three years myself, they make a hella lot more than most people realize.
I always cleaned my shoes before I entered someones home - Especially if its raining outside!! its called courtesy and conscientiousness.
If this guy doesn't care about your feelings about your home, he doesn't deserve a tip.

Good luck babe!!!

Tip him, 10 bucks will do, give him a towel to dry up a bit and offer him something to drink, something warm like coffee or something cold, like water or soda. He may not be the most friendly guy but you could at least try. Anyways he is on your roof, in the pouring rain probably catching a pretty bad cold. Its not your fault but a little kindness would help his mood.

$10-$20

It's raining and he's on your roof.

He is getting paid for what he's doing by his employer -- but it's proper etiqeutte to tip anyone who is servicing you (waiters; valets; installers etc..). Also keep in mind that he's on your roof in the pouring rain.

Put yoursef in his position. Low pay and bad working conditions. I'm sure you would want a nice tip.

If you really don't like him tip $10
If you're indifferent tip $15
If he's doing a great job tip $20

Do not tip.....you are going to be scrubbing your floors when he is gone. If anything he should thank you for not sending him a cleaning bill. Yes he is doing his job, but there is a certain amount of consideration for the customer that this guy is lacking.

No tip he gets paid well by the hour to do this and I am sure he doesn't move all that fast. You could lay down newspaper to catch the mud and stuff. (My tip for you).
