I live with roomates and have had very few problems with them for the last 4 years. Tonight, I made myself some dinner after scraping together my last bit of cash to buy groceries. After I was done, I didn't feel like eating right away and I had a program running on my computer so I covered everything and went to my room. I lost track of the time but when I went into the kitchen an hour later to serve myself, I saw that someone had taken the liberty of EATING my dinner. Now it's late at night and the door was locked so I knew someone didn't just come into my apartment and eat my meal. I yelled out, "who ate me dinner" but no one answered. I confronted the one roomate who was awake and she denied that she had been in the kitchen. After ranting and raving and cursing and yelling for a few minutes, she finally came out and confessed that she was hungry and she assumed that it had been cooked earlier in the day and ate it. Should I have choked the *****?

I caved into peer pressure last weekend and let myself get drunk for the first time (in the presence of my boyfriend and his roomies). I ended up acting pretty emotional, throwing up, blacking out while hooking up with my boyfriend.....

HOW do I apologize for the behavior, the mess, etc?

Does everyone have a night like this at some point?

If they were all drunk too and I managed to clean up before morning , how much do you think they remember?

I'm getting her a gift, but I don't have much money. I also don't want to look like a cheapo, so what's the proper amount of money for a gift in this situation?

Also, any ideas for gifts for a girly-girl who is a friend but I don't really know her THAT well. (Don't know what kind of music she likes or if she likes to read, etc.)

As an in-team trainer, I will be conducting the training for a Korean new hire. As I am 3 years younger than she is, how will I address her? Do I need to use ~ ㅂ니다 form everytime? Or will ~요 do? How do I call her name? ~~씨 or 김 양?

Having stayed in Korea before, I understand that Koreans place great importance on relationships i.e. seniority at work.

In this case, I have a higher position than her. But she is older than I am. So, which one should be followed?

I work at Home Depot and went to the restroom during a really busy shift and a woman (most likely in her 40s) had her pants down to her ankles in the middle of 2 open stalls. I mean, kootchie all over the place, and it was really gross! She stood there, shocked that someone came in the public bathroom!!! We were so busy and it's a public bathroom! After she regained strength from her blank stare, she ran into a stall and mumbled something about no toilet paper. Come on!!!!

I'm very poor but very polite and etiquette. Everytime I go to a resturaunt, I see pigs. elbows on tables, talking with full mouth, people asking complete strangers (and me) for newspapers, people always complaining over the littlest things, etc... But when I go to a soup kitchen, mouths always closed, utensils held in a mannorable fashon, some times a pleasent conversation, please's, thankyou's, etc... (same with jail) what's going on here???

basically, why are the more socially unacceptable (the unfourtenant) more polite then the avarage joe (the fourtenant)? wouldn't you think it should be the other way around?

I'm currently at school, living in a traditional dorm room with one of my good friends. I love her to death, but lately she never leaves the room. She's very anti-social and doesn't really have many friends, so she doesn't go out. Her boyfriend is constantly up here and they never go out, so I get zero privacy in the room. It's starting to drive me nuts! I understand it's her room too, but how do I nicely ask her to get the heck out for a little while every so often? I always make sure to offer her privacy when I can, even if it means going for a run with my ipod for an hour or two. Am I being inconsiderate?

I live in a really small town and in a complex that houses 27 apartments. Recently, a group of obnoxious neighbors moved in. They party every night, stomp around on the floors, scream, hollar, curse, leave trash all over what little front yard we have, and claim the small front porch in front of the upper apartments as their own. My daugher, husband and I can't sleep at night, as they usually don't stop partying until 5am... I've called the cops, who say they are sending out an officer, but the officer never shows up, Iv'e talked to my landlord, who tells me that she can't do anything and to call the cops, ive talked to them, and all they have done is laughed in my face. I don't know what to do ne more. Its' my last quarter of college, and im so stressed out that I'm losing my mind. I can't function during the day cuz of lack of sleep. What can I do?

My customers called and complained claiming I was prejudiced. I told them discounts couldn't be used with specials and they listened to me at my next table to see if I told them that. I didn't because, and I remember because I only had 3 tables that night, because it was a single genteleman, and the coupons were two for one (I never do). Why were they looking to cause problems? They did ask for compensation too. But they made me look bad and that sucks.

I am sensitive. However I am in my 30's and know the world well enough to know that my sensitive approach doesn't make myself heard with alot of other people. So, depending on the person, I can be quite blunt (not rude.. just say what i have to say straight up and not worry about their feelings). Some people are agressive and the senstive people have to step it up to be heard. Is it wrong for me to dish out what I can't take????

I am very sensitive, but I find that approach doesn't work with most people and quite often I find that blunt does work better (not rude, but just saying what you have to say).. Is that 'dishing it out what you can't take?'....
