I'm a girl who is taking a guy to Prom. He is a Junior and we've been friend for all of high school. We are going strictly as friends, as he has a girlfriend. Formally, I asked him to Prom, but he had expressed prior interest and essentially asked me to ask him to Prom, although without being that forward.

Now it's time to buy tickets. I am going to pay for myself, but should I also pay for him?

I feel as if I should because he is a Junior and it is my Prom but I also feel that since he approached me about it first, he should pay. I normally would just pay for him without much consideration, but tickets are expensive ($125 per person, $250 for both of us) and, anticipating other Prom costs: the dress, etc., I am a little reluctant to pay for him. However, I also feel guilty about imposing the costs upon him and if I am obligated to pay for him, I am willing to do so.

So, should I pay for his ticket or should he pay? Should we go Dutch?

I get called up to the principal's office to clear up a mistake regarding my AP tests. When I get to the principal's office, the principal is typing on his computer. Not to be rude, I waited until he is done. After he is done, I asked if I could come in. The principal then asks me why I was stalking him. I told him that he called me into his office to clear up a mistake for the AP tests. After we fixed the mistake, the principal told me that if I stand outside the door and look into his room without saying anything to him again, then there will be consequences because stalking is considered harassment and and an invasion of privacy.

We just had a baby girl and the neighbors decorated our house with signs and balloons. How long should we leave them out there for?

If some one invited you to lunch, with the understanding that we all bought our own meals, and then turned around a few days later, during an argument regarding unrelated issues, and stated that they couldn't afford it but they did it for you any way. This is a co worker. I am highly offended. Opinions please.

I live in a wooded area, (right next to the woods) and my neighbor has left his trash in his bags for a week now outside. I'm starting to worry that he won't ever take them to the trash bin which are at the front of the apartment complex. I'm worried because I don't want critters to start coming in from the woods which has happened in the past. He is a nice guy, and I see him every day, so I know nothing is wrong with him. I don't want to ruin our "friendship" if you want to call it that. How do I handle this?

I have never really attended church services before and I have been invited to a friend's church on easter. How do you greet a church during the visitors spotlight. If they ask me to stand I would like to know the proper greeting. Can anyone lend some advise

There are some people in this world who think they know it all and insist that they're right and you're wrong, when, in fact, they are the one who is wrong. Should we just ignore them and move on, or allow them to irritate us?

ok, so on 03/24/07 I called Banfield Pet Hospital and asked them to change my due date from 03/26/07 to 03/30/07, the rep told me she could only change it to the 5th, or the 12th of April. So I agreed to the 5th. Well 2day I get a call from my bank saying Banfield overdew my account. I called Banfield and they told me all they could do was waive one of my monthly payments which is $22, a lot less than just 1 of my overdraft fees! the first rep I spoke to was so rude he refused to transfer me to a supervisor and hung up on me, the 2nd rep was nice, she said she transferred me to a supervisor but all I did was leave a voice mail on someone's line, I don't even know if whoever I left a v/m with is, in fact a supervisor. What can I do? this is so unfair. They obviously know they are at fault, and that I'm not lying because they said the first rep I spoke to was new, and that they would waive 1 monthly pymnt. I don't know how much in overdraft fees this is gonna cost me.

My best friend from high school is getting married in May. We are not as close as we once were, I'm not even in the wedding, but I'd still like to get the couple a really nice gift. I'd like to give something useful, and sentimental, but somewhere around the $50 range.

I wouldn't give anything tacky, like crotchless panties of course. But what about a cute cami and short set, or a silky nightgown?

Why do girls wear this at church? I mean they could dress decently, and then wear this outside of church. And then they wonder why men follow them and crimes are committed. I say these girls attract the wrong attention purposely.... your thoughts.....

This weekend while suffering the long line through a toll I witnessed something I've witnessed numerous times before. A pack of about 4 of those japanese import motorcycles speeding down the centerlane of slow moving traffic and lost sight of them. I can only assume that they forced their way into and through the toll to go about their day. But this is not the first time I've witnessed this type of...cheating! The motorcycle drivers who weave in and out of traffic like they were Trinity in the Matrix. The sort of dangerous behavior that involves the rest of us either getting hurt or killed or even witnessing this moron kill themselves. I know there is an attraction to living dangerously but come on...why don't you just drive into a brick wall and get it over with. Belive me all it would take is for me to open my door as they drove down the center lane and "BAM" they'd be dead and I'd be out a door.

I think sometimes I come off as phony when I choose to be nice to people that I know are *ahem* not nice people - especially when they're trying to provoke me. What does everyone think about this?

A woman puts on a dress and asks does this make me look fat? Do you say yes it does if that's the truth. Or do you lie and say you look fine? That's just an example. My motto is if you ask me I'm going to tell you the truth.

So today I was sitting down awaiting for my lecture to start. Down the hall, a girl was walking with a lot of stuff in her arms and had headphones on. As you might expect, she dropped all her stuff. She bend over to start picking the stuff up. However, her blue underwear was showing, and unfortunately didn't cover her butt up, so she was sporting about an inch of crack.
At first I just ignored, figuring she would feel a breeze and pull her pants up. A minute later, some kids are snickering as they walk back her, pointing at her butt crack. One kid even tried to put a pencil down her butt, but saw me and stopped.
It occured to me that I didn't know what to say to her (besides, it seemed a bit awkward to tell someone their butt is showing).

The conflict resolved itself when a guy slipped a coin down her underwear. She felt something cold, stood up with her face red, looked around, dug out the coin and threw it. Then pull her pants and underwear up.

What should I have said/done?

Now I'm not really asking for money, was just be sarcastic. Anyway I got an email saying I voilated something or other and my answer was deleted. Tell me, do you think my reply was wrong?

My boss is a moody woman who thinks she can say and do whatever she wants. She is not always polite when she talks to the staff who respect her because of her temper and her position. Today I answered back! She didn't appreciate it. In fact it was as if she wanted me too and put me down.

How do you react in front of such difficult people?
