There are some people in this world who think they know it all and insist that they're right and you're wrong, when, in fact, they are the one who is wrong. Should we just ignore them and move on, or allow them to irritate us?

Yes, there really are people that stupid and ignorant. Sorry. What I do in that situation is state what I know. If they disagree I just drop it. I don't care if they think I am wrong. If they want to run around making themselves look stupid, that's their choice. I have nothing to prove and am confident in what I know. Eventually they will see the truth. Either way it's extremely irritating and you just have to get over it and move on.

If one truly knew and understood the definition of stupidity it would be obvious that very few are in fact 'stupid'. Ignorant or ignorance simply means the lack of knowledge.

Right and wrong are perceptions based on what one believes are his or her facts, or what standard is used to define their facts.

We should always respect anothers opinion even if it differs from our own. It is not always a question of who is right or wrong, but more importantly to get along with one another and thereby improve personal and public relations in our already overburdened society by those who are quarrelsome, rude and offer not one bit of positive influence.

Do you have another option then ignoring them and moving on. Even if you sit there and scream at someone or try to politely explain your point of view, if they are really bullheaded you've done nothing but waste your breath your time and your energy. It is so frusterating when your trying to talk to someone who may be strongly opinionated (nothing wrong with that) but won't even hear and give your opinion any kind of respect.
(my opinion) I've noticed if I met a person who was very for Bush and the war, If I tried to explain why I'm not. they get really insulting and won't even hear what I have to say. All you can do is drop it and move on.

the person that does the most talking or arguing is usually in the wrong and is just trying to convince themselves, i say let them talk away and see how soon they can realize they are just fools.

if you really think you're right, ignore them. don't fight back unless the situation is really important to you. otherwise, ignore them, don't stoop to their level in life.

I say just listen to what they have to say, decide for yourself what you believe, and move on. Just consider it to be a learning experience. :-)
