Say if you are at work and you help somebody beyond the norm, and they offer you a tip. If you refuse it, but they insist you take it, but you still refuse it, Is that considered rude or insulting to the person giving the tip?

A friend's boyfriend's table manners are disgusting - talking with mouth full, chewing with mouth open, waving cutlery when talking, guzzling shared food, elbows on the table . . . We'd love to all go out to restaurants but behaviour like this in public (or anywhere) is unacceptable - what should we do?

I know a girl who works at a store i go to sometimes and i asked her if she got some. i wasnt sure if i was being innapropiate at first, but then she said yeah and said if i wanted to feel them. of course i jumped at the chance, lol. they feel pretty good but you could feel their fake.

I think some people really go too far when they're answering other people's questions. Like this one person suggested I feed my daughter weed to get her to eat. I mean, that's beyond a prank, I'm sorry. I wish I had the opportunity to delete the person. But Yahoo! doesn't allow it. You can report it as abuse but most of the time nothing happens. Do you agree? Freedom of speech is one thing. But when people are just out to be mean and nasty, I think they should not be able to keep their comments on my question.

this guy was basically calling me stupid and i told him to shut up because i am sure he does stupid things too and he told me he has done stupid girls and i laughed and he got mad and told me that was not funny..he is engaged and he's 25 and i am 19

he does tend to have a bi-polar attitude with me-he flirts with me and then is a jerk..

Like well...yesterday, my mom asked how my counsling was going, and i told her it was going good. Then she asked me about certain things. But i wouldn't tell her anything, because its none of her buisness. I then told her that we were working on my anger problem...and we figuared out a part of it. And it was because of her. She got so mad. I told her why, and she got even more angry at me. we started to yell at one another, then i got up and left in the middle of it...

anyways, why do people who ask for the truth, end up getting mad about it?

ok i had just come home from work and i was going down to the basement because that's where i have my clean clothes- i stunk so i got naked from my waist down and i was washing my hands in the kitchen before going to change-my sister threw a fit and told me to put some clothes on and i told i will in just a mintue but while i was getting ready to go down stairs she stopped the conversation and said "you know if you weren't running around naked i could talk to you" and she compared me to a person that exposes herself on the streets- i got mad becasue i told her i would go put some new clothes on in just a minute and the fact that she compared me to an exposer got me more upset-she is a hypocrite i feel because her butt crack is half way out and she still sits on the computer showing her butt crack after i have said something to her about it-so.........who is out of line here?

For my child's birthday party, I am considering adding "in lieu of gifts, please donate to..."

I know it's not proper to mention gifts (registry, sizes, etc), but isn't this the same thing?

We just want to throw a fun party for her. She is young and has special needs, and therefore, it's kind of hard to shop for her.

The donations would go to benefit her specific causes-which is a rare condition. Is it wrong to mention anything about gifts, or is this okay?

I also want people to donate in their own name, versus "in her name", so that way they get the credit for giving to the cause.

Also, if it is okay to mention in the invitation, then do I add it on a separate paper-like the map sheet, or do I include it at the bottom of the invite?

this past Saturday we took a long drive and ate at a nice lodge/bar restaurant, food was ok but when i went to the restroom there were two toilets side by side and only a 3 foot wall between them. i just plain locked the door, got a very dirty look from a bar fly when i came out. i'm sorry but i need to pee in peace without having another face next to me to look at!

WAIT! Don't report this Q! This is a serious question. I am in business selling vacuum cleaners and air purifiers with HEPA filters. These filters are efficient enough to remove odors and fumes from the air, so can HEPA enabled undershorts really be far off? You better not steal my idea...

Okay, our town has just started banning smoking in public restaraunts. I never really thought it would start such as HUGE debate. Yes, call me slow, but what is the advantage of having a smoker in your restaraunt besides the money? Is that really worth some one else's health. I mean, if restaurant's had more than just a half wall to separate smoking from non smoking sections, it would not be such a big deal. But, even in nonsmoking the smoke is always drifting over to our side. Second hand smoke kills. People may cringe because it sounds corny, but its the truth. Is it honestly so hard for smokers to enjoy their meal without smoking? Doesn't it take away from the flavor of the food anyway?


Yes, I know its sort of rambling, but I just basically wanted to know how do you as a smoker or nonsmoker feel about the banning of smoking in restaurants?

And smokers with kids, do you smoke around them?
