I work as a nanny for a great family and am on a first name basis with them. They are both physicians. Yesterday I was asked to bring the children by one of the offices to see the staff. When one of the staff asked me whose children they were I casually said his first name, assuming the staff in that small office of the hospital knew who I would be referring to. It immediately occured to me that perhaps I should have used his title.

What do you think?

Does the fact that have to shame people into contributing say something about the poor management of the Red Cross? I mean wouldn't you give freely without the shame tactic if it was a worthy group?

Is it customary to give the entertainment and the photographer/videographer gratuities for their services? We are also serving them dinner as part of the reception agreement.

Myself and my friend both did GCSE Art & Design last year, and due to two incompitent teachers, I mean one time, we wanted to stay behind to do our coursework because the teachers "car was going to the garage", we later saw said car depart in fully working order. Another excuse they made was they were "going to the gym" and they "had lives". Both myself and my friend got lower grades than we anticipated. How can we write a good complaint letter to our old school explaining our concerns for this years art students?

What would you do? This happened a long time ago, but they were my favorite pants and I had bought them awhile back so I could not buy the same ones. She said she'd give me like 15 bucks for them but to me that didn't seem fair. What would you do in a situation like that? I told her she couldn't borrow any of my clothes anymore and she basically told me that wasn't acceptable.

PS--I'm not friends with this girl anymore...she liked to walk all over me.

It’s morning rush hour. I was in my office block waiting for an elevator. When the door opened, I rushed in with my colleagues & it’s jam packed. On the way up, I felt a big fart coming & tried as I may, I couldn’t control it. So I let it out & unluckily for me, it happened just at that moment when there was a lull in conversation. Everyone looked at me. I could feel the blush on my face. If you were me, what would you do next?

Women - do you think restaurant servers (waiters/waitresses) provide better service to male patrons than to women?

I have a cold and I am pretty self-conscious about my sneeze. It is pretty loud and not-very feminine - kinda like hu-hu-HASCHOO! I get embarrassed because it seems like most girls have a more petite sneeze. Does anybody else sneeze really loud and what can I do to be more quiet when I sneeze?

It disturbs ME to see it once the child is past a certain age. I do think it borders on incest or abuse after awhile. At a past job, I walked into the bathroom where my co-worker was breastfeeding her son. I was horrified, but I covered my reaction and asked gently, "How old is your son?" The boy stopped sucking, looked at me and said, "I'm six!", and went back to it. If they can walk up to their "meal" and just stand their to receive it, something's wrong. Especially if they already have all of their childhood teeth and are in school.

I always get out of bed on the left side of the bed even though is it on the furthest side of the room. Rather than get out on the right and go right into the bathroom or to the kitchen, I will slide over to the other side of the bed (I sleep on the right side) and walk all the way around to get to the other side. I do this getting back into bed also.

I work 2 jobs. One full time and one on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. I live in the central US and we received some pretty crappy weather today. My full time job is at a hospital. Today at 1:30 pm because of the weather, they cut almost all non-clinical staff (I work in materials). I called my 2nd job (a liquor store) and told them that if the weather were to get much worse, then I would not be able to come in. I called back about one and a half hours before I was supposed to be at work to make sure the night manager knew I would not be able to make it in. He was completely fine with it and then the "General Manager" wanted to talk to me. The general manager copped an attitude with me. I've worked there for over 10 months and have only called in one other time. I realize I'm part-time there and there were probably other people that called in, but I would have had the longest drive ahead of me. I keep my schedule as flexible as I can for them. Should I feel this bad?

Firstly let me start by pointing out that I could rightly say I told you so, and frankly it is rightly so.

For the last 12 months I have been consistently pointing out the flaws in your advertising and product development techniques as well as the sad lack of consultation with coal face staff memebers. While I am unhappy about the fact that you have effectively caused ireperably damaged something I have put my heart and soul into, I am of the firm belief that should I and my team have some more direct input into future campaigns and general directions of business that we can reserect this dying pheonix.

While I understand that you believe you have your directions and justifications for those decisions, I would like you to truely look inside those decisions and make sure they are really made in the interest of future development of the business whilst protecting those interests of key stakeholders- i.e your staff and our customers.
