A friend invited me to attend Mass with her, but I've never been to one before. I'm a little nervous about looking like a complete fool.

My wife had hers stolen right out of the place where your child goes. She had it strapped in, but it was taken when she turned her back for 1/2 second.

Don't let this happen to you!

I was talking with someone in an instant message online, and I asked him a question. He thought he told me the answer before, and I said I don't believe he ever told me. Then he asks me if I'm losing my memory. I calmly stated that what he said was really rude. He said it wasn't, and then he blocked me. Now here's the question......was asking me if i'm losing my memory rude, or am I being too sensitive by telling him it was rude?

I can't figure out what to get my brother for Christmas this year. It doesn't help that his birthday is only four days after Christmas. He likes sports, especially track and baseball. He plays electric guitar, likes nice clothes (but I don't know sizes), and likes hanging out with his friends. Ideas don't have to relate to any of these, but at least that gives you some idea of his interests.

Unfortunately I'm on a college budget so it can't be too expensive (I'm thinking about $20 each gift, or one big gift that I could give him in parts).

Or should I write each individual a thank you? That would mean 30 thank you notes. I just want to do what is proper. Thanks!

If you do go, is it because of curiosity, old friendships that you are in contact with presently, or just for the fun of it.

If you don't go is there a reason why, and if so do you feel you're missing out on something?

I got a Christmas card from my ex of about a year's mom. There was a letter in it with no good news. His dad has cataracts, and his mom has breast cancer. He and I haven't spoken and I've asked him not to contact me. I don't want to be friends with him, and I'm pretty sure he feels the same. His parents seem to want to stay in contact with me, (I think they still think that we'll end up together but it's not going to happen) but I want nothing to do with their son. I don't have his parents mailing address. Would it be appropriate to contact parents wishing them well and saying I'll pray for them, or should I just let it be?

I am a reporter at a small newspaper and I sometimes eat lunch in our breakroom. These 2 ladies from another department are so rude-- they'll change the channel from the one you were watching, talk loudly over the tv to each other... just rude. Today I got a sub sandwhich and it had onions on it. One lady says with a look of disgust, "I don't know why you got that sandwhich with all those onions on it." So I said "So for MY lunch, I'm only supposed to buy what YOU like?" She rolled her eyes at me at said "Hmph" like I was in the wrong. What's up with that? Anyone else ever experience that rude people dish it out but don't want to take it?

I have a co-worker.
An older lady and unfortunately the mother of both my bosses.
She has absolutely NO sense of personal boundaries or personal space. She is nosey as hell and can be quite bitchy. But then again can be very sweet.
She's always asking me questions that don't even pertain to my job, or she tells me how to do my job when she doesnt even know what she's talking about. There's lots more just not enough time to list them all.

Well today came the straw that broke the camels back. My other co-worker brought me lunch and I was STARVING. He set my bag on her desk since it's right by the door. Well, she's like "who's is this?" I was looking up a file and I yelled "it's mine, hang on, I'll get it" So she nods and then deliberatly takes an entire handful of my fries and says all nonchalantly "you should put these somewhere else, they're dangerous."

My question is, she is driving me CRAZY, should I tell her daughters (my bosses)??

We have been dating for 2 years, I have met his grandmother a couple of times and I am fairly close to his family, she was his father's mother. I'm not sure if I should send flowers or a plant, and should I send it to his dad (who I know well) or his grandfather or to the funeral home when they have the service? What do you think ?
