I live in an upstairs apartment, and I do my best to be considerate of all my neighbors. However, I have had my dart board stolen from my patio. (funny, they took that and not the $100 table saw.)
I also have neighbors who for the life of them could not hit the dumpster for anything when it comes to throwing stuff away, and my downstairs neighbor is a tuba player. I suppose I really cant complain too much my bf plays the guitar, but not ALL THE TIME!!! I hear a constant ooompa sound all day long, and all night. He must get tired from all that blowing. (No pun intended) He speaks spanish only, I don't. How do I politely ask him to keep his practice down to a decent hourly time, or to carpet his ceiling( anything to cut down on the noise)?

Seriously, a good portion of questions could be answers by typing the question right into a Google search....Try it please, and leave some room on here for Good questions. AND what's up with the really lame ones, like Are you eating? and Do you like Bread, and Why isn't every one Muslim, or Christian.....??? Geez, people....

Me and my husband run our own business from home (it's to do with computers.) We have a few employees but for the most part, we are the one's in charge of administrative work. Since we don't work FOR anyone, we are always busy running it all. We're not "rich" so to speak, and a lot of the times people ask us, "if you work so much, then why aren't you rich?" Or they say stuff like "Yeah, we understand why your so busy because your millionaires" but they are mocking us because we live in a 2 bedroom condo and have 1 car. Why do people ask such rude questions? It's none of their business and I think they should realize that the money someone makes at work goes towards bills, groceries, gas, etc. Everyday necessities. What are your opinions? Serious answers ONLY!

We don't know whether to call the complex office (courtesy officer) or write them a note. We've never spoken with them. But the banging sounds like they are building a barn - it's so loud!!! We don't hear them, just the banging of the headboard. What to do? We are very non-confrontational people.

They know something about everything. No matter what you're talking about, they HAVE to stick their two cents in even if they're completely wrong. Why oh why do people do that? It's really annoying!!!!! If you don't know what you're talking about, don't talk! Do people just like to hear themselves speak? Do they think they sound intelligent? I think people who know something about everything seem very ignorant at times.

I like to get massages done and I like it to be nude regardless of the gender of who i'm getting the massage done. however, here in singapore the legitimate massage places take this wrongly and suggest I rather go to the illegitimate massage centers.. Is there a place I can get a massage done in Singapore where I can be completely nude without the masseuse or masseur getting too judgemental?

There is a job opening at the business where my good friend's mother works - it is a small law firm. I am thinking about applying but I do not know if my friend will be upset. Because of the type of person she is, if I mention it to her she will most likely say that she wants the job & I'll feel obligated to let her go ahead and have it. What is the proper thing to do in this situation?

I'm being asked to bring my three year old to a Memorial service so my husbands extented family can meet her. We would like to show our respects but we don't want to prolong the day for our child by attending the luncheon after the services. Is this wrong?

Maybe it's just me, but it seems that if kids act up in public, be it in a store, restaurant, or whereever, people will complain about what monsters the kids are and give the parents death glares. But, if the parents correct the children, people treat them (the parents) as if they are the reincarnates of Ted Bundy.

I don't have kids of my own, but even I can notice something like this going on and see how inane it is.

Hi. I work at a financial consulting firm, and am having lunch with my manager tomorrow. We have a really really good relationship and are sort of close. I love Barnes and Noble, etc. and gift giving and here's what I got her:

1) a little Charlotte's Web ornament (we have a joke about Charlotte) - I'm not sure of the price but it's nominal I'm sure
2) a $25 gift card for Barnes and Noble
3) a bellydance package from Barnes and Noble that was about $15 (we have a running joke about my doing "snake arms")

NOTE: I had gone to Barnes and Noble today to get the gift card - then I bought a bunch of those Belly dance packages for various people - after I paid for the gift card and while the guy was putting my stuff in a bag is when I decided that my manager would love one of the bellydance packages I bought.

What should I do? The whole thing probably amounts to approx. $45. Should I leave out the gift card or just go for it? (I also already wrote my manager's name on the flap..)

My friend's father's wake is tonight. He died of lymphoma. His death was not unexpected and my friend is taking it better than I had expected he would. He told me they were going to bury him with his cell phone. I don't know why exactly. My guess is that before his illness prevented him from working he seemed to be a workaholic. Enough background - my question is this: It is an open casket wake. If I can snag his cell phone while paying my respects, should I then call my friend after the funeral and make that sound from the Grudge movie? Remember I said he is taking it very well.
